A few years ago my wife became an Arbonne rep. Her upline used high pressure sales tactics to get my wife to order approx. $3,000.00 worth of product to GIVE AWAY!

The purpose of giving away the product was to entice signing up more reps. My wife refused to pressure anyone the way her upline had pressured her.

The bottom line is that Arbonne products are so over priced that my wife finally gave up trying to sell them although she believes the products are good she is still paying the $3000.00 that she used credit cards to finance.

To larry I want to know who pressured your wife to spend 3000 dollars to begin her arbonne adventure. Whomever did that needs to be removed from arbonne sales force. Integrity and proper training is what arbonne truly exemplifies. My wife and i have done arbonne for 7 years and never, never did we get trained to do that. So please please do not construe proper ethical training from some unethically trained rep. Shame on you for throwing every ethical and moral person under the bus.

You showed your own true colors without seeking truth,

Not the way that Arbonne does business

AUTHOR: Kate - (U.S.A.)

(I'm an independent consultant, not employee)
Arbonne is very conscientious of making it clear that the only requirement to start a business is the $29 starter kit. I'm sorry that you had an upline that operated under her own guidelines. MLM is not for everybody. It takes hard work and intestinal fortitude. But for those who operate honestly and consistently, it is very rewarding. Just like any business you start, whether it's a franchise, a mom-and-pop-store, or a professional practice, it is more likely to fail than succeed. The difference is that it costs much less to start a home business than it does any other possible business ownership opportunity. If you treat it like a hobby or hope to get rich quick, it's not for you.

I am sorry that your upline was so pushy. I started this business with an RE9 kit and passed it around. I do give out free samples but most of what I give out I have gotten for half price or less and it is a business expense. When you are in business you need to spend money to make money, the $3000. was a bit much.
I have a great upline who has not pressured me but helped me in every way possible, as I have for my downline. If you are interested in doing the business and are not still signed up under the pushy woman, contact me and I can help you get rid of the $3000. worth of product. I am 1 step away from RVP and it took 1 year.

Aditional research

AUTHOR: Larry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 06, 2007

I did some additional research after I wrote my original ripoff article about Arbonne International. According to MLM annual reports and stats from tax preparers, in general 97% of reps in organizations like Arbonne fail. In fact over 70% drop out within 3 months! So be very beware.

I know my wife worked very hard to be a sucessful rep but the only people that benefitted from her investment were the uplines.

Some advice: before you join a MLM or as they like to be called a network marketing co. ask for a list of all reps recruited in the last year in your state or a portion of your state and pick 8-10 at random and CALL THEM. If the company won't provide this or just wants you to talk to their "handpicked" few I suggest you move on.
