Company routinely uses deceptive hiring practices to hire employees, average employee lasts 4- 6 months before termination.

Potential employees are offered base pay of 18,000 to 25,000 per year plus commission. They also make false promises of additional $60,000 per year in pay in commissions. Out of 34 stores, there are only a handful of people who make that much money, and they usually work almost every day to maintain the level of sales to achieve that. What they don't tell you, that after 2 months you must sell $32,000 worth of furniture each month before you start earning commission. If you do not hit the $32,000 mark, the amount you miss it by is added on to the next month. The same for the following month and each and every month. If this continues for several months you will be reprimanded and eventually forced out or fired. (It is basically a draw with a base, but they claim that it is not, the $32,000 base you must sell pays your basic salary). You are also required to do ALOT of cleaning on a daily basis, (includind bathrooms) house calls on your days off, or time off from work (you do not get paid for mileage or time spent at customers homes on your days off). You also must do a lot of heavy lifting of furniture into peoples cars when people buy floor samples, etc. You will be required to bring down mirrors, artwork, lightining from high ceilings on tall ladders for customers to purchase, NOT a glamorous job. This job involves high pressure sales, cold calling, very aggressive selling environment, very little support from management, poor training, a lot of standing, low morale environment. Most of the staff does not have a furniture, or interior design experience which makes your job even harder, it is a large learning curve for people who do not have such experience, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.
They also do not observe overtime laws of the states they have stores in, I brought this up to a manager and she told me point blank that If I went any farther with it I would be fired.
