After having a heart attack I was sent by the hospital that did the surgery to Arkansas Continued Care Hospital of Jonesboro, Arkansas (ACCH) for physical therapy.  I should have been there for no more than three weeks.  Instead I was drugged, essentially an induced coma, and left there for 68 days while my family members were told that I had brain damage and would never recover.  

After almost two months they finally threatened the doctor sufficiently with legal action, they began to withdraw the drugs, but left me still in a semi-coherent state to convince them I was still not well.  They did finally get me out, and took me home where I partially recovered -

I still have an injured arm, caused by BEING TIED TO THE BED WITH WIRE, among other things.  Numerous psychotropic drugs (antipsychotics, drugs used to tread schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, among others) have left me with degraded motor functions.  

This was done, I believe, because ACCH is an acute long-term care hospital (LTACH) and these hospitals are very profitable because they are paid more than other hospitals, and their patients stay there longer.  The law requires an average patient stay of 25 days, and they were able to use the more than two months they had me to pad the statistics.  

In addition, the place was dirty, with non-functional equipment, and incompetent and uncaring staff.  One of them I believe was a certifiable psycho, a big guy who when he wanted me to move he just picked me up and dropped me on the bed.  There is much more at https://victimsofacch.org
