#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

They are not a ripoff but they do lie to the customer

First of all, they have several locations. Their main office is in South Dakota. They have an office in Philadelphia and one in Costa Rica. If you call no matter who answers they are obligated to say you are calling Delaware. Even if you get the call center in Costa Rica they will say you are calling Delaware. The office in Costa Rica is growing fast and plan to take over 90% of the calls. In Costa Rica so far there are only 2 departments: Customer Service and Verifications.
When a customer is denied a loan the agents are obligated to say they do not get the reason of the denial which is not true since they can see it right there on their screen but they are no allowed to tell the truth to the customer. All they are allowed to say is that the customer can reapply in 30 days or if the customer wants to know the reason of the denial to write a letter or email asking for the reason and the underwriting department will answer in 30 days but that never happens. They never tell the customer the real reason they were denied.
Minimum requirements are: minimum income of $1500, steady source of income and a bank checking account under the customer's name with direct deposit.
If the customer happens to be a lawyer, Arrowhead will ask for a lot of documents so the customer decides not continue. They do not like loaning money to lawyers because according to them, since Arrowhead doesn’t have state license only federal then they are not legally obligated to pay the loan back. The documents they will ask for when they don’t want to give someone a loan is 2 years of bank statements, last 2 W-2 forms, 3 to 6 most recent pay slips.
Normal documents requirements depending on the case are 6 months of bank statement, last W-2 form and 3 most recent paystubs. If the customer has disability or receives a Social Security check they will ask for the awards letter.
Customers are usually denied because they have a salary lower to $1500 or they don’t have a checking account or they have a checking account but their bank doesn’t allow ACH transactions. There is a list of banks which Arrowhead doesn’t work with but they will never tell the customer that information.
If a returning customer is applying for a new loan but in a previous loan the customer missed one or two payments that customer will be denied for life but they will never tell that to the customer, they will simply say to reapply in 30 days.
If a customer applies for a loan in different websites it will lower their score and automatically will be denied even if the customer meets all the requirements, again they will not let the customer know the reason of the denial and they will tell the customer to reapply in 30 days.
