PCDI, Professional Career Development Institute; watching the motivating commercial on television could bring abrupt life to the lazy, hopeless, busy, or dream chasers of the world...the scrolling marquee and lists of endless careers and potential dreams while a strong, educated feminine voice ennunciated every syllable of success--success that was only a computer or phone call away. Could all of this be real? Well, I was about to find out...
I got my pharmacy technician diploma around April 2006. The course was very convenient for me at the time while I worked my regular job and took online tests whenever I finished the chapters. I was supposed to have received my diploma as soon as I finished the course, but something wasn't right when my diploma didn't arrive at my residence at a specified date. I contacted the school, and they told me they had already sent it but would send another one. I knew that wasn't correct because the option for "Diploma Received" was checked "NO"...the status "conveniently" changed to "YES" after I firmly scolded the school about my diploma absence.
Well, I took my PTCB exam and passed...I had to purchase another "expensive" study guide from Amazon.com because the study curriculum from PCDI's program wasn't compatible with the actual test content. Total bull. Total waste of time. Hey, at least the PCDI PhT program rendered me eligible to at least SIT for the exam, right? Ummm.....
So, I decided to enroll into the Medical and Dental Assisting Program. I figured that this opportunity could be a springboard for more medical field opportunities. I finished this course in no time. It just took some time for me to pay for it. However, all of this was to no avail. I thought that this class would allow me to sit for the AAMA certification exam...yeah, right. PCDI/Ashworth College/University (like the name change really means something drastic) is a hoax; it is a rip-off--a complete waste of time AND money. I have done an infinitesimal amount of research and PCDI Diploma programs are recognized AT ALL in my state. I cannot speak for anyone else, but for most online applications, PCDI isn't recognized AT ALL.
Consumer, BEWARE! If time permits, please, take your course of interest on a physical campus or REALLY research your online school of choice for its accreditation status. Don't get caught up the the throes of PCDI's worthless offering of a "better career." It's pure bull, and this illusion is ripping off innocent people left and right. Other victims on here obviously agree with me. Readers, consider yourselves warned--I wish I were.

I would be interested to know, and I would also be interested to know what you will be paying in tuition.
OP, "infinitesimal" means smallest amount, so I don't think that is what you meant.... see what Ashworth does to people?
If you haven't signed up, don't. And please don't think that this is anyone wanting to rain on your parade. They are just trying to help!

I received my associates degree from Ashworth and I have had no problems with It The U.s. Navy accepted( I received higher payer, rank etc.) I also transfered my credits to a Regional Accredited College They accepted with no problem the only thing is that they only accepted 75% value for each credit. Now I'm on my way to receive my bachelors from a RA Accredited college all thanks to Ashworth.
