On June 5th, 2009 -- My checking account was charged "PURCHASE PAYPAL *ASKNET INC 06/04".
This is a fraudulent charge. Not only have I not given Asknet Inc. permission to charge me, but I have never even been in contact with this company.
I just noticed today, June 9th, when I checked my balance. Immediately, I searched through Google and found a link to ripoffreport.com where I found MANY similar acts of fraud by this company.
I'm on the phone with my bank now trying to reverse the $219.95 charge.
How can we shut-down this scammer?!

you probably need to call Paypal directly 1-402-935-2050 tell them what happened they will reverse the charge and hold on to your money "pending investigation" for about a week. you might also want to try a extremely secure password for your Paypal account (they have to have access to your account to take money) http://www.goodpassword.com/ this what i use for all my passwords my Paypal is 18 characters. the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago except it was a few thousand dollars in euros and some pay to download software. It is probably a good idea to change your bank account number as an extra precaution. That's what i did an i haven't had any problems since
