i requested an aspire card in march 2005 and received the card with a $250 credit line a week later. i have had the card and paid regularly since then. about a week ago i received a letter saying my credit line had been incresed to $750.

upon checking my balance online i found that i had been charged a $175 annual fee. I called them and told them i never had an agrrement for an annual fee and had the card for over a year.

i was told that the fee was an annual maintainence charge and there was a $30 maintainence charge for each card activity. i told them to cancel the card and was told i cant cancel until i pay $605. i told them no way i had only charged $300 on the card.

their website only shows the amounts of charges and no description of what the charges are for. avoid these frauds.
