After moving all my belongings to my new address, I was informed that they would only accept cash, despite what I had been told, or that they would return my things to their warehouse and that I would be unable to retrieve them. I called and spoke to the owner and was told that they "sometimes" accept credit cards, but now was not one of those times.

After complaining, I was told that they would never accept anything except cash from me. They refused to continue unloading the truck during the time I spoke to the manager, and thus wasted an hour of time that I was paying for. I didn't see a choice except to pay them in cash, even though I did not want to.

They then proceeded to move very slowly during the unpacking process, to the point where it seemed like they simply wanted to stretch the move out to 6 hours. They continued to talk on phones and smoke to stretch the time. Their quality of work deteriorated quickly, and lead to scratching my hardwood floors as well as damaging a desk and couch. They refused to take pictures of the damaged objects after I requested photo proof.

I was very disappointed in their work and the way they seemed to be inflating the bill, as well as the complete refusal to accept my credit card after specifically being told that it would be fine to pay with American Express. The customer service was horrible- after being told that it was cash only, the owner of the company screamed at me and hung up the phone. I felt that my belonging were being held hostage. They are operating under two names: Five Star Moving and Storage, Inc. and Atlanta Express Movers.
