Atlanta Technical College They receive federal and state grant monies and pay the tuitions but when it comes to getting the extra monies due they make you wait 2 months into the semester or dont pay at all. Atlanta, Georgia

I am a Diesel Equipment Technology student at Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta, Ga. I have a 3.66 average and am in good standing with the school. I enjoy the school because they have good teachers and i am learning alot. The only problem i have is with the financial aid department. When it comes time for the Federal grant and state grant monies to be paid out it is close to the end of the semester before we get it or, as in the case of last semester, we dont recieve them at all. I look on the web site and they have an award payment schedule but i guess it is there for a prop because i have been going for two years and they have never followed it. It is not just happening to me. All my classmates are going to the same problem. We need the extra money to buy books and other things ( In my case tools) to help us with our education. I dont know what else to do so I am wiritting this with the hope that someone will see it and either give me some advice as to what to do or report the school to the federal government or some regulatory body that deals with this sort of things.
