OAN Services has bill my phone bill this month for services, voice mail and radio streaming, for  which I did not sign up for nor did I authorize this charge. Permission was not given to AT & T to allow this charge either.  Companies should not be allowed to do this without written permission to both companies.

AT&T AutoPay Program

AUTHOR: Reverend alan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, August 13, 2011

I too noticed charges on my phone bill that I could not identify. I called AT&T and complained and they removed the charges. I also complained that I did not want AT&T doing this and that I had already signed up for this "service" to be blocked. The service rep said she would reapply the block to prevent 3rd parties from putting charges on my phone bill.

And just who are these 3rd parties? She gave me a phone number and I called and got the company who was instructed by the 3rd party to deal with AT&T charges and he agreed to remove the charges. But just who is this 3rd party and what did they add $10 to my phone bill [each month for the rest of my life] for? What service or benifit are they claiming I signed up for? I got another number and no one ever answered it.

I can only imagine the number of people who are paying $10 or $25 each month to these people and don't have a clue they are doing so because their phone bill varies so much from month to month. Mine is always exactly the same amount and when it doubled it was a red flag.

Because this company can not get $10 a month from me through AT&T they are sending me autopay notices that look EXACTLY like what AT&T would send out. They ask for my credit card number to complete auto-pay. AT&T [the real one] tells me they will never ask for your credit card via the USPS.

Here it is August in 2011 and the last report was back in 2009. I could not find a way to file a report here at Ripoff Report and the only way to write my story was to file a rebuttal to a 2 year old existing report. I do not have their internet address or a street address. What I have is AT&T AutoPay PO Box 5093 Carol Stream, IL 60197-5093, the postal meter says it was mailed in zip code 77063.

ALSO: I do not know what OAN Services stands for or why AT&T [the real one] would participate in this scheme. I asked the service rep and she said she didn't know.

I am wondering if I should write deceased on the envelope and send it back.
