On 6/15/2006 I sent auctionfire a down payment on a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10 Item #115177016*/ and per to thier rules if the vehicle was not shipped the money would be returned and to this date they have not returned it. I have filed this with the BBB in Navada, the Fraud Hotline and the FTC and still nothing has been done and this website is still running. $1,000.00 was the down payment that the seller and I agreed upon auctionfire demanded more money. All I want is my money returned!

Auction Fire did not rip you off

AUTHOR: Auction Fire - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Auction Fire is an auction site similiar to ebay.  You did not send Auction Fire a down payment for a vehicle because we do not sell anything, we simply provide an auction service.  I do not doubt your story that you sent a down payment on a vehicle and got ripped off, but you must understand we are simply an online marketplace where people list items for sale and where buyers may place bids if they are interested in the item.  We have a fraud alert section that clearly states we have a huge problem of fraud occurring in the auto section and to avoid sending any kind of Money pack or western union payment based on a promise for delivery.

As soon as you register with our site we immediately warn you of the possibility of fraud in the welcome email and direct you to the fraud alerts message board.  Then, when you receive your winning bid notification you are once again warned to confirm the identity of the seller by making sure it is the same name as the one given in their paypal verification when they first join our site.  If you ignore all of our warnings and then send money to a third party expecting a vehicle at a crazy price (well below market value) how can you claim that Auction Fire ripped you off?  At some point the buyer must assume some responsibility for their own actions.

Kind Regards,

Aaron Bradley

Auction Fire, Owner
