AVCO Financial Services filed a judgement AGAIN on my credit report Queens New York
*Consumer Suggestion: Nancy, you might be able to get the judgement vacated
AVCO enterred a judgement on my credit report AGAIN. I was so close to having great credit by paying all my outstanding debts. I contacted lawyers to resolve the old AVCO matter, but in the interim, AVCO's lawyers sued me again (I didn't find out for 7 months).
Since I no longer live at my former address, I never received any court filed papers. I Now I can't get an apartment. I work, but can't rent an apartment because of this. It's no fun earning a good salary and being homeless. Is there anyone out there that can help me?

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Nancy, you might be able to get the judgement vacated

Nancy,
If your current address was on your credit report, AVCO could have properly served you.
If you get copies of your credit report that have your current address, you can prove bad service, and get the judgement vacated.
I think you should get a lawyer to do this for you, as it can be tricky. Not only that, but you can file a bar association complaint on the lawyer who performed the bad service as an ethics violation. Due diligence in filing lawsuits is mandatory as far as the bar association is concerned.
Good luck!
