they killed my guinea pig and charges me thousands in an attempt to fix their mistake. i brought the pet there for a wellness spay which they botched. then tried to fix it, telling me they would not charge me for it, because the pet got ill from a conteminated needle during surgery. for two month they tried to safe my pet, and in the process overdosed her on a medication she was intolerant to, and they were well aware of that fact! then when the animal was beyond saving, they slapped me with a huge bill for the services (they initially said would not be charged for) from the past two month. i wrote a detailed statement on their yelp reviews. and i also reported them to the n.c. veterinary board. there are several other people that have encountered similar things at avian and excotic animal care in raleigh, that have lost their pets due to the doctors and staffs neglect. in between their facebook reviews, yelp and yellowpages as well as angieslist, you will find at least half a dozen people just during the past year, that claim to have lost their pet due to malpractice at avian and exotic animal care.
