Same story as Jim and Brandi's report exactly. Warner Health Care has this scam down pat. I saw the ad on t.v. and went to the website for more info. Saw that the free sample came with a $4.50 shipping charge. Used a bank debit card to make the transaction for the free sample.

The free sample arrived and two weeks later another package came. I thought they made a mistake and sent two free samples accidently. I set the second one aside and forgot about it until two more weeks went buy and another package came..this time I checked to see if they had been debiting my account for these packages. Yes, to my surprise, were two charges for $35.00, a total now of $74.50 for this free one-time sample. If you add it up...a twelve month supply is $420.00

I had the same hassle over the phone with Brenda at ext. 2520 and was told there were no supervisors to speak with. I sent a fax explaining to the 513-985-#### number and never received a response, of course.

Fed up...I called the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION and they filed a report and told me to also call my STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE where I also filed a complaint. I have also called the bank to start the charges dispute process. I have returned the two packages and a certified letter and will know more in the days to follow whether I will be fully refunded or not. IN THE MEAN TIME... YOU ALSO NEED TO CALL THE FTC AND FILE A COMPLAINT... THE MORE COMPLAINTS, THE MORE LIKELY THERE WILL BE SOMETHING DONE

check out these business practices

AUTHOR: Cheryl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 22, 2003

I can tell you that I am in sales but have heard that supervisors and leads do not take any customer care calls and if anyone asks for one they are told to tell the consumer that they will be called back with in 48 business hours.... now let's see if my math does not fail me that is 6 DAYS, by then the number is lost and I know of only one lead in customer care that actually called any customer's back.

The latest with the customer care dept. that I have heard is that they can give money back now but if they hit a certain dollar amount ( which they are not told how much it is, go figure!!) they will be fired.

There are 4 to 5 times the amount of so called sales people as there are customer care.

And please consumers beware, they are coming out with new products and probably under another company name, with the same bogus managed care program, in January. Please investigate anything before you buy and remember there is almost always a hook if you only have to pay s/h for something that is supposed to be free.

and by the way "Mike" why aren't the sales people supposed to tell the consumer about the no return policy and the $10 restocking fee at the time of order??? and the other thing "Mike" doesn't say is that the 20 day cancellation window is from the date that you order the free sample and not from the date that you receive it. It can take 3 to 5 business days to receive the product which means that if you order on a Friday it could take till the next Friday which is only giving you a 2 week window to start the Avlimil...Now explain some of that please

I never received anything ..throw the product in the trash can!

AUTHOR: Bryan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 13, 2003

Darla,
At least you received packages that you were ripped off for. I never received anything except the original sample and just found out today they hit my CC for another $35. With a call to these idiots to find out why the $35, they explained that I was on a managed care plan and would need to return the product if I wanted a refund. I offered to do so if I had indeed received the product they billed me for. Again, she told me that I would need to return the product for a refund. After about (10) cycles of me trying to explain why I could not return product I never received, I asked to speak to her supervisor. Of course, I got the same crap about on phone with another customer, will call me back....yeh right!

No matter, a quick call to AMEX and the charge was credited back to may account.

I've seen in other complaints that they nail you for a $10 restocking charge if you return. My advice to all is just dispute the charge with CC company....apparantly the CC guys know about them and you should have no issue getting your money back. Then, throw the product in the trash can!

Feel for ya! You keep pushing. This company deserves what it gets.

Darla,
You are so correct. I am an ex-employee of the company and I can say you are dead on girl! You keep pushing. This company deserves what it gets. Same old games - they are just adding more sister companies on to the original company. It's amazing how these people work. Things will never change...they will continue to re-invent these so called sexual enhancers.

No Rebuttal Can Deny that this company is ripping people off

First of all "Mike", what brings you to this
website entitled "Rip-off Report.com"? EXACTLY!!

Second of all, thanks for explaining the MCD plan in detail on your rebuttal because you're assuming that I telephoned my order in. I did not. I used the website link :
http://www.burdett-processing.com/4avlimil/mc_order.asp.

As one of your enlightened former employees has mentioned in one of the rip-off reports, your company changes your website frequently to cover
their hides and the above link is not there anymore but it's the original link where I placed my order, not via the telephone, so no one explained the MCD to me NOR was there any mention of it when I placed my order on this
webpage. Also your email address for so-called customer care is returned unable to send : customercare@warnerhealthcare.com and your fax number that is listed on your site for customer concern (513)985-9193 does not acknowledge any fax received. Your customer care line at 1-866-834-1715 is just one big joke.

You cover up what you do to people and explain to them after the fact. As a matter of fact, no
literature was included with my shippment, so how could it fully explain anything to me, like you suggested?

All you are doing with your rebuttal is summing up the facts that you brainwashed in training classes.

One good thing did come out of this, I am more aware of bad business practices by companies like the one you work for.

accept some of the responsiblilty

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 05, 2003

When you call in to order a free cycle of Avlimil you are charged for the shipping. This charge is 4.50. The regular price of the product is 55.00. All we are asking is the shipping.

In order to recieve this free cycle, you are agreeing to be enrolled in Managed Care Direct. This information is explained at the time of purchase. Literature included with the order also explains MCD. Also, the last two pages of the free booklet explain the plan.

The purpose of the plan is to allow customers to recieve further shipments of Avlimil at a reduced rate of 35.00 w/o a shipping charge. So taking into account the regular price and shipping, you are saving more than 24.50 per month.

The first MCD cycle is billed 20 days after the first order. This allows the mailing time for the package to arrive, and usually arrives as the customer in on their last 10 tablets. Then every 30 days going forward.

During the call, customers are told that if they would like to cancel MCD, they will need to contact Customer Care at the number enclosed with the package. They are alos told about the 20 day window. IF a customer fails to call before then, then yes, a cycle will be shipped and their account charged. If they call before, the shipment is not made, and their account is NOT charged.

The nature of the product is such that it is to be taken daily to recieve the full product benefit. We recommend a period of around 90 for optimal results. We are willing to give away (aside from shipping) the first month. We created MCD to make sure that the customer has the product in hand without running out. We reward them with no shipping cost and a reduced rate. (similar to a a co-pay perscription plan)

Also, if customer stay with the MCD plan for afull 12 months, and are still not happy with Avlimil, we offer a 100% money back Guarentee. (details are in the booklet and on website).

We are not trying to scam anyone. We offer a product that does help many of the women that take it. We have a plan in place that gets the product on a regular basis, at a good price, with a guarentee.

If customers are cliaming to be victims, they need to accept some of the responsiblilty and make the calls to cancel in the alotted time. I forgot to mention, MCD can be canceled at any time. So after 90 days, you still don't like it, call and cancel. There is not a money back guarentee for those people, only those that stay with MCD for 12 months.
