I recently attempted to purchase a product from Avoline.co, which was advertised for $3. However, during the checkout process, an additional $67 was deducted from my account without my permission, bringing the total amount charged to $70.

When I reached out to Avoline.co regarding the unauthorized deduction, I received an unsatisfactory response. They claimed that their policy does not allow refunds on digital goods, arguing that refunds for digital products result in a total loss for the merchant. They also mentioned that a refund might be considered if I could provide a screen recording showing that the material did not deliver the desired results. However, this policy is irrelevant to my issue, as my complaint is about the unauthorized charge, not a refund request.

This experience has raised serious concerns about Avoline.co's practices. They deducted money without my permission, and their response was dismissive and focused on their refund policy rather than addressing the unauthorized transaction.

Given this experience, I urge others to be cautious when dealing with Avoline.co. Please do not waste your time, money, and efforts as I did. I have opened a dispute against them and hope to resolve this issue, but I want to make others aware of this potential fraud.

Stay safe and vigilant. Thank you.

I explicitly selected the "No Extra" option during checkout, yet an additional charge was still deducted from my card

POSTED: Thursday, August 22, 2024

I want to clarify that I explicitly selected the "No Extra" option during checkout, yet an additional charge was still deducted from my card. This was not authorized by me, and I am concerned about this error.

Please review my transaction and process a refund for the unauthorized charge as soon as possible. Your prompt assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

It appeared as if it was part of the initial product cost

AUTHOR: truth warrior - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 21, 2024

I understand your point, but I'd like to clarify my experience during the checkout process. While I always make it a point to review the charges before completing a purchase, in this case, the extra amount was not clearly presented in a way that indicated it was an additional charge. It appeared as if it was part of the initial product cost, and there was no clear opt-out option presented for this upsell.

I did not intend to purchase any additional items, and at no point did I knowingly consent to an extra charge of $67. Given this misunderstanding, I kindly request that the extra charge be refunded. This issue seems to be a miscommunication, and I hope we can resolve it amicably.

I appreciate your understanding and look forward to a swift resolution.

issue here isn't about not reading the information

AUTHOR: truth warrior - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 21, 2024

Thank you for your reply. I understand your point, and I assure you that I take full responsibility for reviewing all details during checkout. However, the issue here isn't about not reading the information provided—it's about the discrepancy between what was advertised and what was charged. The advertised price was $3, but an additional $67 was added without proper disclosure or my consent, which led to this unexpected charge.

I believe clear and transparent communication is key in any transaction, and in this case, the additional charges were not made sufficiently clear. I appreciate your assistance in addressing this matter, and I hope we can resolve this issue promptly.

At Check Out?

AUTHOR: Irv - (United States)

You say this extra amount was added at check out. At check out there's the option to READ and REVIEW what you are paying for. Whybdid you go along with it instead of backing out of the transaction? Let me guess....YOU didn't even READ what you were agreeing to at checkout!
