* : President
They have purchased a $3000 entertainment center from us and refused to pay. I we have been trying to get a payment since May. They are very spiteful and hard to deal with individuals. Stay away from these crooks.
I hope every customer Avventura (Rosario Minnocci) receives does the same as they have done to us!

WOW!!!
I can't believe this company....
This is for all consumers to be aware of this company, Target Decor, or the several companies under their umbrella that are on the internet working out of Brooklyn, New York...
This is the TRUE story:
First of all we purchased the entertainment set under our name with our credit card, our company, Avventura, has nothing to do with this issue...
We purchased the furniture set on the internet back in February of 2008 from Target Decor for $2975.00 including shipping. The unit was delivered to us on April 15th,2008, all the units were damaged. I called the company and spoke to Artie, who stated that there was no need to return the set, because they would come back and deliver a brand new replacement set and pick up the damaged one. I requested that Artie would confirm our conversation by e-mail, he agreed and stated that I would receive it in the next 30 minutes. The e-mail never was sent, the delivery men told me not to worry about it, that the company would come thru. Nevertheless, I took pictures of the set with the damages, and also described the damages on the delivery slip.
Called back on April 17th, spoke to Jennifer who stated that a claim had been made with the manufacturer and the shipping company, a new unit woud be arriving the following week.
Called back on April 25th, spoke once again to Jennifer, the unit should have been shipped, she would check with the manufacturer, they would follow up with an e-mail.
No e-mail received.
Called on May 2nd, spoke to Jennifer, unit is no longer being manufactured by Parker House. Willing to refund for some of the units. I refused since the damage was not repairable.
Called on May 9th, spoke to Jennifer, company was offering me a 60% refund...
In the meantime I called the furniture manufacturer, Parker House, spoke to them about my set, and the fact that they were no longer manufacturing this particular set, they replied that the units are still in production and do not plan to discountinue this set. They gave us names of reputable dealers wich stock the set. We called them and they had them in stock, but at the higher price...We purchased from one of these companies.
I called my credit card company and requested a refund from the credit card charges from Target Decor. They gave me a full refund.
Upon receiving a refund from my credit card company, Target Decor finally started calling me...I asked them to pick up the set within 30 days...They made an appointment to pick it up...What they failed to tell me, was that they had donated it to the Salvation Army whose paperwork showed that we were the ones donating the furniture set...Upon the arrival of Salvation Army, I called my lawyer who stated that we needed on a company letterhead that they would donate the furniture set not us, and that we had no liability to pay for the furniture set.
Target Decor followed up with the letter requested by us, we called Salvation Army made an appointment, they showed up and refused to take the set because it was too damaged to use....
Go figure...
I have learned that before I purchase anything on the internet, it is important to gather as much information about the company you are dealing with, especially the complaints..
As consumers we need to be pro-active!
