A few years ago I paid off a balance to what use to be FingerHut, after they sent out notices that they were closing. A few months later I started recieving harrassing phone calls from different credit collecting agencies for the same account for which was paid in full. It has been over 5yrs and NCO, Jefferson Capital and Axsys is showing I owe them money for the same account. Somthing needs to be done about these agencies ripping off people for their own benefit. An elderly person could easily be taken advantage of. Remember to always hold on to any receipts after paying in full.
