I am barrister ANNI OKONKWOR,a solicitor at law. I am the personal attorney to Mr Mark Peterson,a national of your country, who used to work with shell Development Company in Nigeria. Here in after shall be referred to as my client.
On the 21st of April 1999, my client, his wife and their three Children were involved in a car accident along
Sagbama express-road.All occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost their lives.Since then I have made several enquiries to your embassy to locate any of my clients extended relatives this has also proved
unsuccessful.
After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to
track his last name over the Internet, to locate any member of his family hence I contacted you.
I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before
they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank here these huge deposits were lodged. Particularly, the FINANCE BANK NIGERIAN PLC where the deceased had an account valued at about $7million dollars has issued
me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confiscated within the next ten official working days.
Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over 2 years now I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you have the same last name so that the proceeds of this account valued at $7million dollars can be paid to you and then you and me can share the money.
60% to me and 40% to you I have all necessary
legal documents that can be used to back up any claim we may make.email:barr_anni@mail2world.com. All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us seeing this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any
breach of the law.
Best regards,
BARRISTER ANNI OKONKWOR

Help, My friend got conned by this Barrister guy.

This time, it was James Barrister. Unfortunately, she sent $5000 to him two days ago through western union. It was foolish of her,I know, but that's beside the point now. How do we get her money back? We are still getting his e-mails and now he wants her to call her. Unfortunately, she is not in a good state of mind (as any person would be...embarassed and angry). Is there any way to report this incident? She went to the police, but I think they treated her like she was stupid, which doesn't really help. If anyone knows what to do, please HELP!!

One would think an educated person...especially an attorney would be able to spell hereinafter though. It's used quite often in legalese...

Hi my name is Timeka and recently I recieved an e-mail from someone name Barrister Jones Rhodes who told me someone had died in Nigeria with the same last name as me. He wanted me to help retrieve 15.7 million dollars. By doing research I found out that alot of people had the same thing happen to them and they all turned out to be scams. I just glad I did research before going further in this process. To who ever Barrister Jones Rhodes is i'm glad I did not fall for your little trick. And I hope they athorities arrests you so you can be where you belong in jail or prison.
