Bear Creek Family Dentists - Robert Tafel ripoff dishonest deceptive fraudulent billing incompetent Euless Texas

As I am in the military my dependants are covered by Tricare for their dental needs. It is my custom to call different providers to ensure that they are Tricare providers, and when I called Bear Creek Family Dentists I was dishonestly told that they were. So I took my wife there and asked for an estimate and after an examination we were told $3,500.

They scheduled her for a cleaning and after the cleaning we were told that she needed an immediate extraction and we were told that would be $195. The day we show up there for the extraction this person named "Amy" matter-of-factly told us the price was now $265 because my wife needed a "deep" cleaning to "prevent infection". Although she already had a cleaning the week before the price jumped to $265 just like that! Because she was in such pain I just said OK. I was the one that got cleaned.

When I asked for the treatment plan in writing all of a sudden the price went from $3,500 up to $15,668. I became suspicious and I checked on the Internet and found several other instances regarding complaints against Bear Creek Family Dentists, Euless, Texas such as: malpractice, faulty diagnosis, and fraudulent billing practices.

I called and asked to speak to the propietor and this "Amy" told me that SHE is the Office Manager and would not let me speak to anyone else. So again I attempted to contact Robert Tafel, DDS and called at night and left a message on his personal voice mailbox. My call went unanswered and I realized that I had been ripped off.

I have never in my life filed any complaint a business but I felt strongly enough to report this one to the Better Business Bureau in Tarrant County, Texas which led nowhere. My postings on the local Yahoo Page are removed by them somehow, and to demonstrate how they operate this "Amy" (their receptionist)wrote a 5 star review about them posing as a customer declaring how this is such a great place to take your "kiddos"! I would like to warn the public in general and my fellow military members to stay away from this business because you will get ripped off.
