Watch out for Bellsouth and AT&T long distance account. They will tell you any thing to sign you up, like saying you are going to be receiving certain amount off your local service put in reality they are going to be charging you every month. Pay attention to your bill. I have already been a victim of this scam.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY AT&T PRODUCTS FROM THIRD PARTY VENDORS!!!

AUTHOR: A - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 15, 2008

He means to beware of the reps and the outsourced company - Cydcor - DO NOT PURCHASE ANY AT&T PRODUCTS FROM THIRD PARTY VENDORS!!!
He states that it is what the reps will tell you about the long distance. This is a common occurance for AT&T customers and its very unfortunate. If you speak to the phone reps that are actually employed by AT&T they will give you factual information about what you are ordering. Main point being, avoid third party vendors. If you have a visit from an AT&T rep, this is from one of the outsourced companies. AT&T does not perform face to face visits with their internal employees. The reps that visit you will be from outsourced companies which work on 100% commission.

Why does this matter? These employees must make sales to support themselves and are willing to do whatever it takes to make a buck. Also, they are reprimanded in their offices if they do not come back with the sale.

If you want something from AT&T call them yourself. Do not order anything from a rep that comes to visit you. These reps will attempt to say that they work for AT&T or they are out there to do the dirty work for AT&T.If you are one of those customers who got slammed by one of these reps, I encourage you to contact the main business office at AT&T and file a formal complaint about the vendor and rep that visited you. These sort of cases will be less likely once these reps are taken off the streets, and the corrupt owners are put out of business. If you have filed a complaint in the past and the owner of the company told you it was taken care of, chances are it was not. I would follow up with that company as well as check to see if similar complaints have been filed against it.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Could you be more specific?

Why don't you get a little more specific before you decide to slam the company. Your comment made no sense. How are they ripping you off? Give an example and maybe someone would be able to look at the info....
