My wife called customer dis-service and she was told that we were liable for these calls since they were made on our phone line. I do not feel that we should have to pay. We do not know any one in sweden. They can check our past records and show that we haven't ever made a call overseas. What kind of stupid games are these people trying to play.

I am a prior service rep of Bellsouth. When I first started working with them, it was a great job but over the years, they became greedy. The motto became "Sell, sell, sell." I was reprimanded twice, once for not attempting a re-sell of Complete Choice to a terminal cancer patient who was having her larnyx removed and again for not "bridging" to a gentleman who called to check his balance the week after his wife died (he broke down in tears at the end of the call). People who had worked for the company for 20 or more years were written up and suspended and finally terminated because they could not meet the new sales quotas. Eventually the job title and description was changed. I became completely disgusted with the company and have sworn that I will never again have their service.

Bell South employees are generally honest and forthright whether this nitwit wants to believe it or not.

I currently an employee for bellsouth and when I first started I did not know that this company operates in such a sneaky and coniving manner. i work in the sales and "support" dept. and to be honest with you I dont know why the word "support" is included in there. All these people care about is their numbers. And on top of that they decieve and in some instances outright lie to the customer. For example, this one rep with whom I sat with during traing was talking to a cust.
some elderly woman and she had put her on BPP(belsouth preffered plan) which includes Bellsouths most popular features. The cust. then asked the rep if their was a more economical phone sercice because the one she offered was too expensive and she told her no that this was the cheapest. She outrightly lied to the customer but because the cust. said "phone service" instead of plan she said that that was o.k. That's not okay thats outright lying! I got sick when I heard the rest of the calls of how these people manipulate and decieve these customers. An another occasion a man had paid $54.57 on his bill but paid for phone service about $37.00. One guy that is on my team(the Team Leader) told me to offer him complete choice which is about $6 more expensive but I told him why would he take that if he would be paying more money. He told me to tell him that if he was paying $54.57 already that he would have no problems paying $47.50 but those $54.00 included other calls to 411 and other charges so he told me to tell the guy that he would be paying this much a month actually more than what he's paying for phone service. These situations and others have me to the point of quitting. These people don't care about customer service even though they profess it it is not the case. If they can't sell you something they treat you like dirt or quickly transfer you to another dept. even though it is their call to help you on.
I can't believe these people operate in this manner and they get away with but a simple little disclosure at the end Saying " all services are optional and are not required for your basic service" but by the time the cust. hears this they been spun in such a web of deciet that they dont even know what that means. It is really sickening to my stomach everytime I walk into this building I just feel like walking back out. I will probably stay there another two weeks to save up some money to pay bills and I'am out. Sometimes customers dont evenknow some of the services they have on their lines usually the older ones which reminds me of my grandmother, a bellsouth customer at that. One day I asked her to show mw her bill and she had voice mail, eqipment maintainance, wire maintanace.
She asked me what was all that so I told her to call and remove all that from her line. Ironically Iam now that same person who decieved my grandmother and doing the same thing to other elderly folks. I can't live with doing this for a living and I hope everyone reading will know what kind of company bellsouth is and will not let them decieve them anymore!
