I posted an ad on Kijiji for a car for sale. This individual responded by texting me and asking me to email him back with the car details.
Scammer said he will pay with Paypal asking me to sign up to paypal and give him the email, and then he baited and switched. He then said he could not use Paypal and started with the whole Western Union game, wanting to send more money than the agreed sale price.
He claimed he did not get telephone service and can only communicate by email, however, when we tried to call this phone number1-587-774-4080 it just rang but he would reply by text to email him.
He avoided being reported to Kijiji because he did not respond through Kijiji but rather directly to my mobile phone by text.
