On May 26, 2018 I contacted Messiah HVAC to do a simple task of adding refrigerant (or coolant) to my AC unit. The service technician that arrived later that day was Ben Parrish. I knew in aadvance that this system had a leak but chose to have coolant added as a temporary "stop gap" until we  bought entirely new unit in 2 - 3 months.  Mr. Parrish was informed of this and understood. He said he could begin but would checl the system first.

After affixing the pressure guages he claimed that unit needed 4 pounds of R-22. Worked out charge at 4 poulds at $65 per pound (which is equal to $260) + his 100 buck service fee gave  a total of $360. So far I'm good.  He finished everything in 10minutes. I questioned him that adding four pounds of refrgierant in 10 minutres seemed much, much too fast. "Are you sure it's completely done?"  He gave me a bunch of technical talk and assured me all was on the level.  I  said OK and paid him. After he left I notice no significant cooling as I realize that after refrigerant is added, then much better cooling efficiency ought to be detected within an hour or so. I started  getting that "I've been played" feeling in the pit of my gut! I mentioned it to a neighbor who has a relative with the experise who came and checked my unit to confirm that NO, HE DID NOT ADD 4 pounds. The unit could still take about 3. He estimates that Parrish added perhaps one pound of coolant and charged me for 4.

I paid roughly for 3 pounds I did not get. At $65 per that is $195.  On top of that I have to pay someone else to do this. This guy was way TOO smooth in the way he ripped me for me to think he's new at this. He's a pro.

MY mistake was to not follow my first thought and question this guy when I thought something didn't add up. Addind four pounds in ten minutes? I knew something was not right? However, I have a receipt that states and verifies what he claims to have done plus witness from anothe company to confirm that his service was misrepresented.

One of my neighbors is a retired FBI and quickly found info on this guy. This guy is simply a man of questionable character.

I made him aware that he has been discovered and his fraud exposed. He knows he's been exposed. I  have told the guy to leave me the "f**K" alone. 200 bucks won't kill me by a long shot, and I'd simply rather not even deal with this type of person. AS A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE  I SIMPLY FEEL IT IS MY GODLY DUTY TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THIS UNSCRUPULOUS MAN. Please be wary of this man and this company.

DO NOT USE MESSIAH HVAC or Benjamin Parrish in the metro Atlanta area.  And if he tries to respond to this with an explantion then he's not just morally bankrupt, he is criminally ill!
