BENEFICIAL FLORIDA INC REFUSAL OF CLIENTS CASH OFFER ON HOME AND REDUCING PRICE 25 DAYS LATER ELMHURST Illinois

My name is Michael, I am a Realtor in Port St. Lucie Florida. After establishing a relationship with an out of state client since April / 08. my client decided to drive here with his wife to view some homes on May /10 /08.

After viewing 4 or 5 homes my client made a cash offer on a property owned by Benificial Florida Inc. The offer was made for $150,000.00. Client submitted a $1000.00 deposit with the intent of closing on June 10 /08 making final payment in full for $149,000.00 CASH.

On May 11 the following day, the offer was rejected by Beneficial Florida Inc. without any explanation or counteroffer. Needless to say my client was very dismayed and disgrunteled by the company's action and drove back to Ill.

On or around the begining of June my client e-mailed me and stated that the property was reduced to $149,900.00
Sure enough when I went to check the archive information I confirmed that this reduction transpired on June 4/08.
I called the listing agent that day looking for some kind of logical explanation.

As I expected she did not have any explanation.
As of this day August 18, 2008. The house is under contract for $136,900.00. Since that time my client has made an offer for another house which happens to be a short sale. End result: I lost a substantial commission and my former client is still without a house because of these idiots at Beneficial. I am still trying to find out from Benificial if they are in the habit of throwing away over $13,000.00.

I intend to get to bottom of this situation amd possbly follow up with a lawsuit. Bottom line try not to do business with these people!
