On Saturday, I purchased a 1998 Chevy Blazer for $3,500 cash from this dealer. While in the process of making a decision about the car, I asked the salesman if the car had been inspected prior to offering it for sale. He assured me that they check everything out before selling their cars, and make them ready to sell. (by removing evidence of oil leaks apparently- washing the engine compartment really well)

What he didn't tell me was that the car had multiple oil leaks, power steering pump leaks, power steering line leak, oil pan gasket leaks, valve cover gasket leaks, upper ball joints needed replacement, lower ball joints needed replacement, left inner CV Boot, right inner CV Boot needed replacement, and more. I found these things out 3 days after I purchased the car, when it stalled in a busy intersection right during rush hour. I took the car to a reputable repair facility, (Brakes Plus) and these were just some of the things they listed on the recommended repairs. The estimate total was $4,456.00 This included purchase and installation of a new fuel pump for $899!

When I got the estimate I called the dealer and spoke to the salesperson who had sold me the car. He asked if I had gotten the emissions test on the car, which I had done the previous day. He said since it passed emissions, they didn't have to do anything to repair the car, but he would give me the name of a cheaper mechanic. He tried to deny that all the oil leaks existed when I bought the car, even though the mechanics at brakes plus assured me the conditions were not new. I said I wanted my money back, and he said, "they're not going to give you your money back, you bought the car "as-is."

I think the car was in no condition to be sold and is unsafe to drive with the ball joints needing replacement! This dealer was aware of all these flaws (maybe the fuel pump being the only exception) as they did an inspection prior to selling the car. Yet they didn't disclose any of it to me, and in fact tried to hide the oil leak problem by cleaning the engine compartment. Now I'm out $3,800 (including taxes) and have a car that is worthless to me, since I can't even drive it.

Here's a quote from their website: "Our services do not stop when you leave the lot, but long after the car is paid for." There is also a logo on the main page of their website that says, "Satisfaction Guaranteed"
