Stay away from HotBookSale.com! This is a company that will suck you in, then hit your credit card month after month after month. Do NOT purchase anything from them, or from their parent company BestBrandValues.com. When you complain you'll be connected to off-shore support, then eventually you may speak to someone who will only offer a tiny fraction of what they have taken from you. Jack the employee from HotBookSales has provided the standard public relations cut & paste response to his company's deceptive practices. If anyone doubts that, please take a couple minutes and do a search for: "Hot Book Sales complaints". There are many dozens of complaints (perhaps hundreds ~ there were too many to count) about this company at numerous websites.

Note that they do business under different names, including: DiscountBookSale, Smart Savings Center, LLC and BestBrandValues.

They will bill you every month and you do NOT get a monthly email indicating the billing, as you would receive from almost all legitmate auto-billing programs. They simply bill you over and over and unless you catch it, that billing will go on for YEARS and you will NEVER get any indication from them that this is happening.

This company's "trust ranking" cannot get any lower, and in fact, they lost a lawsuit to the State of Iowa ~ here is the official announcement:

(DES MOINES, Iowa) BestBrandValues.com, a Florida-based online membership club retailer, has agreed to pay $135,000 in refunds to Iowans who had been charged for memberships in the companys programs.

The company, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, sells a variety of products online, including books, videos, music, video games, posters, and vitamins. Affiliated sites include DiscountBookSale.com, HotBookSale.com, HotMovieSale.com, DiscountPosterSale.com and SmartSavingsCenter.com.

Almost 4,000 Iowans paid monthly membership charges ranging from $9.95 to $19.95 a month, according to Attorney General Tom Miller. We allege that when consumers ordered a book, video, or some other item in response to one of BestBrandValues online offers they would end up being enrolled as members, Miller said. Monthly membership charges would start appearing on credit card or bank statements. Consumers we contacted did not know they had been enrolled, and they sometimes paid month after month of membership charges for a membership they didnt want, didnt use, and didnt even know about.
