I bought a hitachi hard drive that had 2 $40.00 rebates. everything was followed and I received an e-mail stating that the rebate checks were comming in two weeks. that e-mail was received 11/22/2005. to date (2/24/2006) I still haven't seen the rebates. I don't plan an shopping at BestBuy anymore. If the rebates are a sham then the warranties are probably the same.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Just a suggestion....May work?

AUTHOR: Kari - (U.S.A.)

My mom had the same problem with a computer she bought there. She kept waiting for rebates that never came. After waiting the 4-6 weeks (per the rebate return), she called the 800 number for the rebate (always make copies of everything you send in with rebates)and they told her that her rebates had expired. So, she had to resend everything proving that she had mailed them before the expiration on the rebates. It took her several months and several calls but she finally got her rebates. My only suggestion is to be persistent. Keep calling them. As long as you have copies of everything, they still owe you.
