I was sent an email to trial a 7 day supply of 'Extreme Acaii Berry' tablets for which I agreed to pay AU$5.95 for shipping and handling on my credit card.
Within days I received what I thought was my free 7 day trial bottle of pills, there was no statement inside the padded envelope nor any contact details of which I could reach someone on.
On checking my credit card statement I found that I was never charged the agreed AU$5.95 but was instead slugged a whopping AU$141.33. The transaction on my statment showed up as 'Easy 30 day thin', with a number which I now know as being a Phone# of 866-2108962.
After about a month I received another 7 day supply of tablets along with another charge of AU$137.52 (due to exchange rates), on my credit card which again I did not authorize. This time the statement showed the transaction as being from 'Better nutrition online', phone # 866- 2108962
I have since received another bottle of the pills and have cancelled my credit card. I am hoping that this will be then end of it.
Until I stumbled on to 'ripoffreport.com' and read about the other people who have been ripped off I had no way of knowing who or where to contact these people. I ordered via an email I had been sent which I was obviously then transferred to the website and not by actually logging on to it.
At least now I have a website and a phone number to contact someone on, not that I expect anything to come of it.
I will now be advising my bank of this fraud in case there are others that have fallen into the same trap. Unfortunately, my bank had no sympathy for me as I was the one that gave out my credit card number,(fair enough).
What I am annoyed at is that apparently they can't even gaurantee that I won't be debited again, even though I have cancelled my card and had a new one issued.
So true is the saying 'Buyer beware'.

all these 7/14/30 etc day trials state in their terms and conditions that if you do not call to cancel the TRIAL within X days, you are agreeing to be charged for the full membership. They also do not have to refuned you because you did not call to cancel in time. I deal with these types of trials all the time, so I know.
Never give out your credit card without first reading what you are agreeing to. There is even a box you have to check that says you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of the trial.
