We got a loan on our car from bhm financial we got $2000 from them we signed the contract paid it for over a year and ran into some difficulties so we contacted  bhm letting them know our situation and advised them.

After only 2 month of trying to get back on track we decided maybe we can just pay it off by selling our car and just being done with it, we go to look and notice bhm finicial had changed some of the fees and we had no clue they did that, ontop of that several fees for legal fees, so we contacted them and had asked about all of these fees and never got answers we continued to be ignored and not get any answers regarding it, after some time we asked for a higher person to deal with oh boy that was an even bigger issue not only did I get very ignorant customer service I got ignored so i started advise I was going to get a third party involved, only then did I get bhm actually picking up the phone and calling me back but that took a month as the would only communicate through email. I spoke with the manager and they had stated for me to look in my contract as these fees are in there, so we did we looked into the contract a d no where does it say they can do what there doing.  

The fees are outlines and are greed upon by both us and bhm, so I advised them stating I have looked into the contract and asked why there are new fee amounts being charged to us and the answer we finally got was our bank changed our fees so we changed your fees, so I said we did not even get a letter a phone call nothing giving us notice that these fees are changing bhm just started to charge me. Then in my contract for these legal fees in order for these to occur they need to send legal letters By Mail only, well we now have $1000 in legal fees added on to our account and going and not one letter has been sent to us, so we did some research and found several forums with other consumers complaining about issues with bhm and sure enough same issue with the legal fees and bhm responded to it with bhm only charges whats in the contract and regarding the legal fees they only charge those fees when they send registerd mail to the consumer and that sounds just like my contract legal fees only by mail only.  

So I yet again brought this up with bhm financial and were told they don't keto any recipets or any copy's of legal letters sent out, but assure they did as if I'm supposed to take there word for it, they contined to say maybe we don't have the right address I said yes you do so that's not the issue.  I personally called canada post regarding the issue asking if any letters were sent registerd mail and nothing and they also did say they give stamped receipts to the persons sending registerd mail for proof and they also said the letter have to be signed for, if they don't they get sent back to the persons who sent them. 

we are now well over some time trying to pay this off and bhm continues to keep charging us more legal fees and other fees not in the contract and refuse to help us, and or answer legit questions we have, so for our $2000 loan that we have paid off for more than a year now we up to over $3800.00 and going as they keep charging more fees, we continue to get treated very poorly and now have had to get a third party involved to look over everything as bhm refuses to do anything.  This has been one of the worst company's I haveneer delt with, I have had loans on my car before and have had no issues payed off early and always got treated with respect.  I have read so many forums with complaints for this company, spoke to compmays that were working with bhm and they said they can no longer work with them they have been to many complaints etc.....as a consumer I'm so disappointed regarding bhm financials compmay and customer services.

Our Security Agreement which has been reviewed by the Consumer Protection Bureau and a team of attorneys specializing in financing and credit laws is consistent with all applicable lending laws and statutory regulations. All fees are laid out in the Credit Disclosure Section and Amortization Schedule. When a client is inconsistent with his payments, BHM Financial Group has no recourse but to apply the necessary fees. In the instance of the publisher of this notice, many payment arrangments were promised but not honored, and personal information failed to be updated. As always we are committed to help our valued clients. Any fee is charged in accordance to the Credit Disclosure Agreement signed between both parties.
