Biospharms is a wonderful place, with amazing produce and hardwood trees growing, birds singing, roosters crowing and warm sunny weather. The developer is an honest, hardworking and caring man, always lending a helping hand. It is quite unfortunate to see a beautiful community such as Biospharms under such undo scrutiny and attacks. There are currently two legal cases, not seven or eight as the disgruntled people claim, concerning the grievances of a few who have decided they want something different than what they contracted for.

I have viewed the legal documents and the claimants (disgruntled individuals) have many untruths in their claims, which I believe is called perjury considering they have signed that everything in the legal document is true and correct, these untruths can be proven as untruths by credible witnesses. It is unfathomable that these individuals would start a social media and online campaign defaming the community and developer, exposing themselves to slander and libel charges instead of simply waiting on the judge to rule, seems like there might be some feelings of defeat floating around.

As the Supreme Court rules, the truth about whether or not an unregistered subdivision and quit claim deeds are legal or not will prevail. The comical thing about all of this is that each of the disgruntled people who are currently slandering, knew exactly how the community was structured upon entering into their contract and were okay with it, this was stated at a public meeting. They have since been falsely convinced, by the leader of the disgruntled parties, that they will be able to get something for nothing, and have banded together in an effort to forcefully take over the community because they want to try to have something changed that they new about from the beginning.

We, who are happy at Biospharms, will continue to stand behind Darin Smith, his family and each other. We will continue to grow and harvest; pursue joy over unhappiness; and seek peace over strife. However, we will stand up strong for each other and we will battle for our community if we are forced, in an effort to show both sides of what started as a one sided story. Know once the battle is over, this place will be the amazing place God created it to be. Once the dust settles and the handful of disgruntled people either find their peace and apologize or have moved on to other things and other places, those of you looking will see a beautiful community with many happy members who are excited for the next phase; excited to live in the peace, joy and the beauty Belize has to offer. 

U.S. criminals try to hide in foreign countries and it appears there are some here in Belize, who prefer spending their time complaining about those who are not criminals. These unfounded complaints against Darin M. Smith  (whom I know personally) and Biospharms are nothing more than bitter revenge on him and his beautiful family.

This attempted character-assassination is being bankrolled by a disgruntled non-resident, and John Michael Poirier (do your own background search on him) who is the acting ringleader, making personal-and-online threats, who's wife has left him (yet he continues to make complaints in her name) while instructing his "cult" followers to do the same thing.

I urge you come to Belize & see for yourself, and meet both parties in question, before listening to the rantings of a few angry, self-medicating, losers who will never be able to find happiness in this world or beyond.

We have been owners at Biospharms for the past 5 years and have been very happy with our purchase and Darin Smith and family. We bought our property fully aware and Happy that it was not a subdivision! Bios pharms was built to be a community of believers that works together to have a beautiful sustainable community that was OFF the grid. The true details of the commuity were stated and explained by Darin Smith and clearly laid out that the community would work together to make decisions that would better serve our mission as a whole.  We all know and knew how the land was divided and titled as we entered the community and have always been supplied with any paperwork requested. 

This is where the angry owners come in. They have been voted against and told they can not create their own community within an already set and joyful place. Darin and the other owners did not agree with their "plans" and unhealthly vision for the farm... This Makes them Mad ...this makes them angry ...so there only defense is to start rumors and lies and try to cyper bully a man and his family out of what they have worked so hard for and been called to do.

The negitive statements are lies and a sad attempt to take control of a community and ruin the name of Bios Pharms. Please see the negaitive comments for what they are... a scam to try and take over land and ruin the name of a family who is doing the right thing and serving God as they have always claimed.

The ring leader of these negative reports believes He is " a Prophet" who has all the answers...the only answer is for him to leave Bios Pharms and let the owners and future owners live or own in peace with out the exreme bullying and lies that come with his attempt to ruin them.

Take the time to visit ...talk to owners... really check out Bios Pharms...juding a whole communtiy from a few negative posts is a shame and a missed opportunity to really experience an awesome place! "Dont judge a book by a really angry author"! 

We are all wrong???  We all come out and accuse someone of dealing with us and stand to be sued for slander or liable charges???

Then, why would just SOME of the homeowners there go and make themselves known to the public with the news media.

Is it just possible you are mistaken about the character of your good friend?

We are unified group of full and part-time buyers of the 'Biospharms' Inc. Christian community, in Los Tambos in the Cayo District of Belize. Since 2010 buyers have come and gone. All came for the same thing buying into the vision that Darin Smith described - an "Acts like Christian community”, affordable, self-sustaining and organic. A small handful has stayed full time. The common denominator was Christian community, and owning our little slice of tropical paradise with Belize sanctioned contracts and documents. Over time each of us has discovered, often through great resistance – that Darin Smith owns the entire 43 acre property personally, “Biospharms Inc.” of Fort Myers, Florida denies any connection, and that Darin Smith never subdivided the land as presented in maps, boundary markings, and laminated plot plans. We also discovered from the Lands Authority and attorneys, that all of our documents were fraudulent. Many over the past 6 years have left with that discovery, despite losing money that was not returned, only to have their homes re-sold. As Christians, we loathed the idea of hiring attorneys; Mr. Smith counted on this. Having exhausted all other means, WE are now 8 plaintiffs, (so far) suing Mr. Smith as defendant, in the Belize courts to perform, and to prevent further sales in the un-subdivided 'Biospharms' community so that more innocent people are not deceived. If successful, our hope is for refunds to those who lost so much, and a completed subdivision. Those few residents who are happy with the current arrangement should not feel threatened by what we are doing, as it will benefit them as well to be legally recognized. We were all charged a huge premium so that Mr. Smith could do a proper, approved, legal subdivision. This should not be a difficult task. All we ask is that Mr. Smith do things legally as promised and then leave us alone to live our lives peacefully and without the constant gossip, slander, and dividing that has been done to us. We ask you to realize – that there are 2 sides to every story, that we are doing all we can to bring justice and that if history is any indication, all will come out eventually.

Sadly, you need to know the facts of everything before you make any kind of 'judgment' and make remarks that you know nothing about.  Darin Smith is the First Defendant named in a judgment, and Biospharms is named as the second Defendant in the same judgment.  As proof will show.

Darin Smith has 8 people suing him for failure to perform what he promised to provide to those that have paid him.  Sadly Darin Smith states that he will disconnect water for non-payment of HOA fees that aren't legal to collect as none of the contracts and paperwork that he provides are a Belizean documents to make the transaction something that the Lands office in Belmopan will recognize and honor.  Darin Smith has no legal right to the water connections to peoples homes that he has sold.  

We do have legal claims and we do have legal rights and we are taking him to court.  

My husband and I would be very happy on our little farm if we had what was promised to us delivered by Darin Smith.  He has illegally cut off our water to run us off because we were exposing the truth of what was happening.  Darin Smith prides himself on doing everything above board and being a Christian....what Christian would actualy cut off someone's water?  Water is a necessity of life!

My husband and I have been on Biospharms for 2 1/2 years.  If it was a legal subdivision, then each lot that was sold to each purchaser, would have it's own separate title and each purchaser would have their own Belizean document stating as such.  Not one person on that place can produce a Belizean document showing that they own their land.  Darin Smith uses a Quit Claim Deed from the United States and is not recognized here in Belize.  If this is a legal subdivision, he should show each person, without hesitation, the Belizean documents to prove it.

Fact....There is no legal subdivision listed or registered at the Lands office in Belmopan for the parcel that he sold lots on as Bisopharms.

Fact....Darin Smith has not even applied for survey or subdivision.

Fact....As Christians, anyone that has a mortgage(which Darin Smith can't do legally as he is not a 'morgage company'), would be happy to continue paying for a home that they invest their life in and can own legally.  Right now they can't own it as Darin Smith won't give them a title.  Darin Smith was promised full payment as soon as he provided title to the property, and would also continue the payments as soon as he showed that he would, by one of the people that you seem to think was trying to get something for nothing.  Well, the fact is, they want something for what they have given tens of thousands of dollars for.

Show us the paperwork, do things the right and legal way and all of this goes away.

Everyone has their own opinion in the character of another person and it is wonderful that they have never had a raw dealing to be able to see first hand what others have experienced.

We have two sides to our character and when others start going against us, a dark side, the side we wish to remove out of our life or hide comes forth.  Some people are good at hiding in the dark the wickedness they do and then calling foul against those trying to expose them in public.

What I don't undersrtand is why anyone would think that those having to go into court to seek justice on a business dealings gone bad or warn the public to "beware" or to get an attorney first before any new venture is called wrong.  

Anything said slanderously is used against anyone therefore it would be a fool to report fraudulent reports against another.

We have owned our own house & land at Biospharms for more than 1 yr. and have been very happy there. There is a small minority of owners or mortgage payers who have put together an agenda by which they hope to get their homes without making further payments to the h.o.a. or for any other purpose.

    We all know people who are never happy about anything, no matter where they are or who they are with. (John's partner, listed on the report, has left the region & is no longer an actual resident here.) This person has a desire for revenge against all people who will not recognize him as a "Prophet of god" & honor him by letting make all decisions for the subdivision where he lives. Insane, but true.

    He has mounted a slander campaign which has surely given a black eye to the name Biospharms. The builders are honest, kind, & generous people, as are most of the other residents. There is no scam going on...just someone with some seriously delusional issues who has nothing better to do than try to destroy lives & property values in a place where he feels his supernatural gifts are not appreciated. Gives somewhat of a black eye to all people of faith doesn't it. Very sad.

    If people pursue the true facts about this subdivision they will find it to be perfectly legal & above reproach, and a very beautiful place to live, at that. Check the legal facts & talk to very satisfied purchasers of property at Biospharms before you make any judgements based on John & (?) "Veronica's" false reports. You will find a beautiful community, albeit, with a few  highly negative individuals whose hunger to be followed would be funny if it weren't so sad.

My family is very happy living where this false-accuser is claiming to be a scam, when in fact it is a wonderful place to live.  The business man in question has always dealt with us, and others, in a respectful, honest, and legal manner.

The people making false complaints against our personal friend Darin Smith, have also been threatening him, his family, and those of us who side with, and support our friend.  If these people had a legitmate complaint, on legal grounds, or had a legal judgement against Darin or Biospharms (which there is none), why would they need to resort to threatening us, spamming us online, and smearing him, and us, by these unfair character assissinations?

This is about jealousy and revenge against a wonderful, happy family, in a wonderful place to live and raise kids.  Don't believe me though, come and see for yourself!

I must say these claims of biospharms and Darin Smith being frauds and scams are completely uncalled for and their reasons unjustified, if people would take the time to actually talk to Mr. Smith and learn of both sides of the story then perhaps they would see what is actually going on. I know Darin and his family personally and they are some of the most kind hearted genuine people trying to help the children and people of Belize and these fraudulent complaints are completely uncalled for as well as causing them and the people around them extreme amounts of worry and stress. Please I implore you to seek out and talk to Mr. Smith before accepting these negative reports.
