Well, well, well. It looks as though my husband and I have joined the many who have been or are being scammed by Luebke, Baker & Associates INC and Blue Whale Publications, INC. I know I posted this with Blue Whales Address but you should also have LB & A info, too:

and I urge you to call the 800 number. It's good fun. Here's how my conversation started out today after I called that # and a lady answered:

LBA lady: "Hi, can I help you?"
Me: (whoa, no identification of business?) "Who is this?"
LBA lady: "This is a collection agency."
Me: (hmmmm, that really answered the question.) "WHICH collection agency?"
LBA lady: "Are you returning a call?"
Me: (Pause... what the hell do you think?) "I have a letter..." CLICK

Oh yes, she did. She hung up on me when I didn't immediately tell her why I was calling. NOTICE... she never did say which company she was from. I wonder why? Maybe this # is used for more than one company... hmmmm.
Maybe a magazine publication company (or several) AND Lubeke, Baker & Associates. I haven't figured out the connection yet but there is one, obviously. Someone has reported that the Feds are on to them, and you can be sure I'll be checking on that and reporting them myself.

I've gone through several other reports and it seems as though our credit score won't reflect our refusal to pay. So, for now I've kind of settled in. I'm ready to enjoy screwing with them for awhile. I will never send them one d**n red cent and neither should anyone else. Infact, I'm going to put that in caps for anyone just scanning this...

DO NOT GIVE OUT CREDIT CARD # OR MAKE A PAYMENT TO LUEBKE, BAKER & ASSOCIATES, INC WITHOUT GETTING ANY AND ALL INFORMATION ON THE ACCOUNT. IT IS A SCAM!!!! DON'T SEND MONEY!!!

We've been playing "hard to get" for a few months now. My husband was all ready to hand over the dough one day last November when I chewed him a new "one" and told him in no uncertain terms would we be paying for magazines that we did not recieve. He agreed. Ever since then we've been trying to get them to give us more information on this debt we owe or details on the Blue Whales Publication crap but they conveniently cannot give out that information, cannot find that information, or whatever other BS they can come up with.

I cannot state enough DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED. DO NOT PAY!

And if you go to their website lba93.com - yes, they do look legit and perhaps they are legit. But the accounts are not legit and they are scamming people. Don't be mislead by the fish symbol (meaning "Christian" or "Jesus") it is a huge ploy to distract you. It's appalling to this Christian that anyone (employer or employee) would claim to be Christian and behave in this way.
