!!! Warning !!! To ALL Consumers.

I am a former employee of Business Mentoring Worldwide, a company owned and operated by Mr. Jay Blain out of Orem, UT.

This company is a middleman provider for coaching people who are looking to sell things on ebay. Fine and Dandy.

My issue is with Jay himself and the way he runs his company.

I worked for Jay for about 6 weeks. During that time, he has been operating without a business license. He has not paid some employees. Reversed direct deposits on money he owed people sending their accounts into the negative and racking up overdraft charges. Handed off different employees clients to his sons team when we were at lunch and to boot not given me my last two weeks pay.

Mr. Blain has effectively screwed me out of close to $2,500.00 then tells me I haven't done my part (be polite on the phone, maintain a good attitude in the office, dont worry about your diabetes, health insurance is on the way, no, I will make sure you can make your car payment da, da, da, etc.). Well, Jay, how would you say that I am affecting your ability to do business now. This is only the first step of several, I PROMISE YOU!

You can find Mr. Blain if you Google the words, "sell on ebay". There will be a ticker window that says " If you click here and download this it's free in the next 20 minutes" what it doesn't say is "SUCKER!, NOW WERE GOING TO CALL YOU FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS, EVEN IF YOU TELL US NOT TO, BECAUSE WE DUPLICATE OUR LEADS!"

DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! If he will screw employees like this, imagine what he will do to people he has never met over the phone!!!

B.M.W. or Business Mentoring Worldwide

AUTHOR: Former employee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 04, 2008

I am writing this update because Jay Blain contacted me with a letter stating his wishes to resolve this matter professionally for both parties.

Jay has issued me a check for a weeks pay and says he will issue another one for my last week of work if I let everyone know that he has done so.

My intent has always been only to be paid for work that I have done and now that Jay has paid me for doing just that, I am now posting this update. I am assuming that he will not further falter from good, honest business practices forthwith and I thank him in his effort to resolve this matter on a professional level.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Do not believe anything this ex employee says! It is all lies!

AUTHOR: Meagan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, August 30, 2008

My name is Meagan, I was the Office Manager at the time that Christian (the ex employee who wrote this report) was employed/quit. I would like to tell you the truth.

Firstly, Jay was more than generous to Christian, as well as his other employees. All of the employees work on commission, if a sale is not made, they do not get a pay check. When an employee is hired they sign a subcontractor agreement that states this very clearly. They are told before hand the terms of the job. I personally went over this agreement with Christian when he began his employment and he knew what the conditions were. Most offices of this sort run in the same way, and he was familiar with this as he had worked in the industry prior to coming to work at B.M.W. Even so, Jay being the kind and generous man that he is, was paying employees out of his pocket (including Christian) on the weeks that they had not made sales and so were not to receive pay checks. Christian was payed approximately $600 to $800 during the short time that he was there for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, not making sales, coming in late, taking long lunches, etc. This is in addition to the money that he was paid when he actually did make a sale. He was paid for every sale he made. I was the person doing payroll at the time. I know he was paid for his sales, as well as the extra money Jay had given him.

A couple of weeks into his employment he called Jay to bail him out of jail. This was another out of pocket cost for Jay, as Christian could not pay for it himself. Jay did this without complaint or judgment. He genuinely wanted to help Christian.

There was no handing off of clients to Jays son while people were out at lunch. There was one incident where a client had gone to the website and downloaded the material more than once, thus creating a duplicate lead. Christian had been trying to make contact with this client and had been unsuccessful. Jay's son, who had the duplicate of the lead, had also been trying to make contact with this client. He was successful. He did his job and a sale was made. When Christian heard the clients name he told Jay that he had been trying to call the same person, showed Jay that there had been a duplicate of the lead, and at that time Jay advised me that Christian would also be getting paid for the sale. Even though he had not done the work, he still got paid the same amount as the other 3 employees who were actually involved in the sale. He really has no place to complain here. And if there is anyone at fault for this situation it would be me, not Jay, as it was my responsibility to find and remove duplicate leads. But how can a person complain for getting paid for a job they didn't do? He literally got paid hundreds of dollars for leaving a voice mail on someones answering machine.

As for the reversal on the direct deposit, this did happen once. What Christian did not include in his report is the fact that when this occurred the payroll company for B.M.W. had accidentally ran payroll twice for that particular week. Everyone on direct deposit received two deposits. Christian was actually the one who brought this to our attention. Of course we called the payroll company, and they reversed the duplicates. All employees were notified of the mistake, and were told the exact amounts that were going to be reversed from their accounts. When I told Christian that this was happening he blew up at me and yelled across the office that it was "bullshit" I asked him how on earth that was bullshit, why would he think he should get paid twice the amount he was owed? He told me that he was going to Las Vegas for the weekend and wanted the extra money. I told him that was ridiculous. Which I'm sure anyone would agree, it is. Jay is trying to run a business. Not pay for a trip to Vegas for an employee he has already had to bail out of jail and give hands outs to because the employee couldn't do his job.

Christian was not fired or let go, he simply stopped coming in. For a few days we were unsure of what was going on and then he let Jay know that he would not be coming back. The next pay day he called to find out if he could pick up his pay check, he was informed that he would not be receiving a pay check, as he had not made ANY sales for 2 weeks prior to quitting. He had no more money coming to him from this company. Nothing more was owed to him. I was the one doing the payroll. I know this for a fact. For days and days Christian harassed jay with phone calls and text messages demanding money. Jay told me that this was happening and asked me what I thought he should do, telling me also that he was actually considering giving Christian a few hundred dollars because he was worried Christian would show up at the office and cause problems (Christian has a criminal background, as well as a temper that everyone at the office had seen at one time or another) I told Jay that he was crazy for even considering giving this guy more money, he had already dished out hundreds of dollars and all Christian had done was cause problems. I actually had to talk Jay out of giving Christian money.

I have no idea where he has come up with the claim that he is owed $2500. This is insane. I do not think he even earned that much the entire time he was employed at B.M.W.

It is obvious from the way that he wrote this report that this is just a disgruntled, immature man who would rather blame his short comings and inability to hold a job and earn a living on someone else. Unfortunately he is doing this at the cost of a sincere, kind, and generous business owner who is doing everything he can to make sure his business and his clients business' succeed. Jay is a great man. The only reason I am no longer employed with B.M.W. is because I moved out of state. Jay is by far the best employer I have ever had and it was a pleasure working with him.

Jay Blain is trustworthy and dependable and an honest businessman. The same absolutely cannot be said about Christian. I really hope that anyone who reads this report will be able to see this.

#3 UPDATE Employee

LIES LIES LIES... FROM EX-EMPLOYEE WHO DOESNT HAVE ENOUGH SENSE TO EVEN COME TO WORK AND LIES ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY HE SHOULD MAKE

AUTHOR: Current Employee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, August 30, 2008

I am a current employee of Business Mentoring Worldwide. First things first this is an extremely honest company that is run by an even more honest man! This report is 100% false and CANNOT be taken seriously. I would never trust a person who never came to work, who lied about his clients, and now to the public about how much money he is owed. NO SALES EQUALS NO PAY RIGHT? CORRECT! Anybody who has a EDUCATION or sense of mind knows that you cant believe everything you read. This ex-employee is simply mad because he cant make sales and his personal life is placing him in a situation where he needs income and has to find an excuse for why he lost his job. The owner of our company is an amazing man, this ex-employee is just simply bitter about his life's situation and cant file a "rip off report" on the Utah County Police Department" so he turns to the man who bailed him out of jail. If i were running a successful company i would terminate the position of any of my employee's who had the disruptive behavior of this EX employee.
I have never experienced one dishonest thing this report claims ( money, files so on.. its simply desperate lies)
Jay Blain has never committed one dishonest act in the entire life span of this company. All in all, everyone knows you can't believe everything you read, this "rip off report" is anything but valid, and this EX-employee is as far from valid as they come.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Former Independant Contractor expects pay at commision job without making sales.

AUTHOR: Aaron - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, August 30, 2008

Christian, who was an independant contractor for my company has filed a rip off report in regards to non payment of wages. Mr. Lxxx was an Indepedant contractor for my company and only made sales two weeks that he worked here. He was 1099 and signed a contract accepting the terms of a sub contractor agreement. He is claiming that he was not paid but did not make sales the last 3 weeks he worked. During one of those weeks he had to be bailed out of jail at the with advanced money from the company just to come to work. He has an extensive criminal record and wanted to get paid salary for a commision position. His allegations are false and if he would have worked this hard at his sales, he would have actually made money. We are a professional organization and treat our employees and customers with the greatest amount of respect.
