This company is straight garbage and does not practice good business. STAY WAY AWAY FROM THEM. They are more concerned about charge backs than sales (one has to wonder why they would have such a high charge back rate).

 

We made an online purchase and selected customer pickup since they are about a 20 minute drive to save the 150.00 shipping costs. The item was for re-sale and the owner of the company has his name on the purchasing card. They would not allow our driver to pick up because the the card was not in his name. So we offered my drivers card and they told him we needed to pay cash. (This after we confirmed they has the unit in stock and that our driver would be coming down). They open at 10AM so we were there at 10:20AM and no one was there yet (day after superbowl) so my driver called and they weren't coming in until 1PM that day - between that and the whole CASH thing we decdided to purchase from one of the dealers in NY and skip the difficulties we had dealing direct with them. WELL they decided to cancel the dealers order and sent me an e-mail going around them telling me they will not fulfill the order.

 

So if you pay the 150.00 for shipping they do not need anything further BUT if you want to pick up they need a copy of the card from the card holder, drivers licnense, fingerprints the whole nine. Makes no sense. ESPECIALLY since they do not have a credit card processing machine on site.

 

We ended up purchasing through yet another third party who had it in stock so these yoyo's could not interfere with the purchase to fulfill our needs.

 

I am not one to write reviews but I would be doing consumers a diservice if I did not share the difficulties we experienced with this HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY.

 

1 week and countless e-mails for them to kill a 1000.00 sale (and thankfully unsuccessfully) - DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY.

 

BUY ELSEWHERE and BUYERS BEWARE

 

In addition we tried to post a review on their site and the "testimnials" they have listed are written by employees - ridiculous

We ended up purchasing what we needed through a third party who not only received the same but all funds in full. My final word on this group is to stay away. Even the fact that they are still spending time "defending" themselves and their bad business pratcices is all you need to know. Consider it a red flag and if you can buy from another source do so.

This customer is a nut job and never purchased anything from us

We never charged that customer credit card. He never in fact did business with us, because there were not transfer of money between us and that customer. He attempted purchase product from us, but we refused to deal with him, because he was clearly running a scam. After we refused to deal with him direclty, he went around our back, trying to buy from one of 3rd party dealer that was selling from our stock. After we told that dealer that we wil lnot be able to fullfill this order to nasty customer, this is what that other dealer that had business with Borderline International replied to us:

"Ha what an idiot.

Yeah I could tell when I was talking to him he was unbalanced.

Kinda why I didn’t have ANY problem crediting him back instantly.

Thanks for keeping that nut job off my back."

Clearly, we are not the only one who realized that this customer have some serious issues.

We have ten of thouthands of happy customers since 1999. But, once in a while, there come that "precious" nut job customer that only want to listen to himself. We glad that we didn't had business with this guy. And we suggest anyone who would be dealing with Borderline International to think twice.

After receiving word that we wrote about our negative experience about this HORRIBLE company BoatsToGo.com they sent us an e-mail threatening us:

Oh... boy, you did it. How amusing. Not only you didn’t want to understand explanation, but you were also arrogant enough to think that only you are the one entitled to leaving bad reviews on a web site to screw someone else business. Oh... well, what goes around, comes around.... you are for nasty surprise then, Sir.

 

No, wander there is not that many reviews about your company yet, well we will fix it.

 

I did a quick search and they indeed tried to carry out their empty threat on a Yelp. The problem with this is that not only have they never purchased from us (since we do not sell to the general public) but they never supplied us with anything they aren't even a vendor. The Eliot guy is an employee or an owner I am not sure but he will intentionally deceive you, harrass you, and go out of his way to try and "get back" at you for sharing negative experiences and/or warning others of their bad business practices,

This company is terrible and many reviews seem to indicate my experience is not isolated - BEWARE.

I wander where they learned to spell wonder.

What a crazy customer!

Placed over $1000 on-line order and wanted to send someone else to pick it up. When we explained that only credit card holder can pickup item, he want all berserk, didn't want to listen. We asked him to email us at least signed invoice. And he didn't want to do that either. Then he tried to go around our back, ordering through our stock from 3rd party provider. Being suspicious, we refused to ship expensive item to this customer. Hence, here is this report. Guys as Borderline International are rip off artist and scamsters. Stay away from this company.
