If you are trying to get a agent and audition for Television and Film roles don't waste your time at this place. They try to hype you up with there celebrity photos trying to take credit for the fame and fortune the actors have gained. I went there for six months and all I learned is scene study and character developement. That is part of acting but it is not everything. The classes are $25 a session. The class has no structure and the classes can last up to 6 hours. You end up going up once. The teachers encourage you to really slap each other and every student seems to think that doing a curse scene makes them a better actor. The actors learn to develope a huge ego and are taught to believe they own the role. It is the silliest thing.
There Showcase events on Thursday are a joke and are used to keep you going. They claim the guest watching the showcase are in need of hiring actors. If they were they would go through a casting service. They would call me every week to let me know of who was the so call guest at there showcase. They used this tactic to keep the money coming in. It came to a point were the calls became annoying.
I have had interviews with different agents and most of them have frowned on there methods. They have said that the studio does not teach the actors about the business.

Wow! This poor actor who is complaining that he/she got ripped off, or had such bad experience at Bobby Chance's Class is unbelievably mistaken. This is a classic case of the 90% plus actors who will never work crying out for attention they have never or will ever receive. This complaint is unfounded.
You don't need to blame Bobby Chance for not finding an acting gig. Bottled up insecure types might have been offended by Ms. Chance's honestly? Are you? Poor darling, I feel pity for you. You don't have to be an actor. There are so many other professions.
Oh yes, the actor is someone who must practice and endure rejection constantly. It is a tough road. There are just too many of us trying to make a living at it.
Do not hold Bobby Chance at fault. Her class is a workshop. You come to work out. It is up to you to take away the most out of your time there. If you are not meant to be an actor, if you don't have the focus to better yourself, you will never progress no matter who you will train with. And yes it is train, like going to a gym. Do you blame your trainer for being obese? Stop eating that ice cream and drinking soda. Hello???!!!
Bobby Chance is utterly devoted to her quest relieve the actor of their inhibitions and fears of performance, to influence the actor to work hard on real script and perform in from of strangers Thursday night, as well, to leave her class and get work for real.
And yes, some Thursday night visitors have hired her actors. I know, I am one of those.
The question is, are you sure you can be that actor? Your ignorance in understanding the purpose of Bobby Chance's training is ridicules and wrong. Not being too hard on you, I am leaning on, I think you should give it up, or change your understanding about life. You are way off. Don't blame others for your "short" comings.
I recommend that Ripoff Report do a little more investigation before they participate in this slander. Bobby Chance is a respected professional by a lot of actors, producers, and directors.
