 I just stumbled upon this report while looking up something else, and I wanted to give a third party insight to this dilemma. First of all, the dog in question is only mildly dysplastic, and that's in her right hip. Fair in the left hip. (I'm going to attach a photo showing how OFA grades hips). It's correct that you should wait until after a heat to do an xray. Also, I personally would not spay my female until after she's done growing (growth plate closed), which would be maybe at two years of age. Early spay has been proven to cause countless more problems than it potentially saves against. Secondly, the xray is taken in very poor position. The pelvis is tilted and this can cause false laxity. If taken properly, the dog probably wouldn't look dysplastic at all, but I can't say for sure without seeing a proper xray.

Finally, if a puppy was bought without the buyer doing due diligence in making sure both parents were health tested before buying the puppy, just bite the bullet and stop harassing the poor woman. Even if both parents were health tested, that wouldn't mean they wouldn't produce puppies that would later develop dysplasia. Breeding isn't a sure science. Dogs are living beings, not machines being churned out en masse and in perfect condition. However, you could've saved yourself plenty of headaches by going with health tested parents and making sure you got a written contract stating that the breeder guarantees health issues up to two years (at the very least) which is when OFA gives official results. You live. You learn. Stop harassing this woman. You made a mistake. Suck it up.

To the breeder, please do not breed your b***h again. Even if she isn't the cause of the dysplasia, it doesn't sound like you've done anything with her that proves she's improving your breed in any way by reproducing. You're just filling the world up with more cute puppies that may one day end up in a shelter. If you want to be a hobby breeder, get involved in your breed by herding or whatever is the standard and breed to the standard. There's enough cute puppies that need to get adopted already.  Your claims are false. My husband and I purchased Lucy from you at your home, that was represented as a business, on July 8, 2016. You spoke with me and my husband through your daughter as she signed for you. Lucy has been taken to the vet regularly since that time. She has received all of her shot updates, been examined, gotten her nails done, been spayed and finally the vet took an X-ray of her hips on December 27, 2016 because we expressed concern of the symptoms she was having. Abnormal gait, clicking/popping when she walks, and "bunny hopping" when she runs. The vet then confirmed hip dysplasia via X-ray. Lucy will never be brought back to you! She is a part of our family and she is well taken care of, no matter the lies you are trying to spread. That's the difference between my statements and yours. Mine are facts, yours are made up. She will be getting genetic testing done to test for the genes responsible for hip dysplasia. If you cared, at all about the dogs you bred, you would be concerned and let other owners know so that their dogs can be checked. It's a very serious issue and people have the right to know. And the actual definition of "backyard breeder" is: Backyard breeder is a term used to describe amateur animal breeders whose breeding is considered substandard, with little or misguided effort towards ethical, selective breeding. The fact is, we purchased a "good" from you and the good is defective. That's how it is under the law. I have done online reviews about the business you represented and my statements are true and accurate. Hoax. You put my residence address here where I live in home with my school-aged children and I do not own business at this address or else where. Google map and other site will show that it is the residence address in Anderson. Dog is a living thing. Not item. I have no knowledge about anything w this pup since I havent seen pup since July 8th still never heard from owner since. No idea if owner still have the pup. I never sold you a puppy. Your name is not listed on AKC record 2016 Litter. It was other person. Sure sounds like owner of this pup never took pup to the vet until it is 7 months old. Waited about 5 months to get it to vet when its in heat. Owner need to do is bring back the pup back if something wrong with the pup asap. I would be happy to get pup back so guy can get other pup but no I never heard from the owner of pup for nearly 6 months. Complaint about untested sire. Its your and other puppy buyers's responsible to look up on OFA and Pedigree to see if sire were tested and know when best time for x ray. What you gonna do next? Get dog from animal shelter? There IS NO HEALTH GUARANTEE on puppy out of untested sire. FYI if there is something wrong with puppy at my vet. It would be on their file. You got their phone number. Vet will tell you there nothing wrong w puppies. So if that is the same pup took x ray then it was wrong time for hip x ray. The only reason you posted everything all over the sites ... is because you and other didnt look up on pedigree/ofa to see if sire was tested before buying pup. AKC pup does not means perfect pup. I have one breeding dam and Dam's first litter of puppies raised in home. Bred once. 3. Dog is a living thing. Not material. 4. I never sold pup to Brandy Bumbleburg. 5. Brandy and other guy probably never taken pup to vet for new puppy check up within 60 days when pup supposed to receive it rabie vaccination and check for hip dysplasia. Brandy and other guy also never looked up OFA /pedigree for health testing. Puppies hip were normal to my knowledge.

  Brandy Bumbleburg did not bought pup from me and did not own any pup from me. Her name is not on AKC litter record in summer of 2016. I have never spoken to her in my life until this month. James Allen Bumbleburg, 46, of 2852 N. CR O E. W. Frankfort, Indiana knew his responsible is to research AKC pedigree and OFA site before decide on buying AKC reg. puppy. I listed sire and dam informations on my page. He found my facebook page and had read pedigrees and other informations that I listed on my page. AKC does not required AKC breeder to test sire and dam for breeding. Dam was bred on her 3rd heat cycle after veterinarian said Dam was old enough to bred. I do not offer health guarantee as sire and dam were not tested at that time. The litter of puppies born on May 13, 2016 were seen three times by Veterinarian for deworming, vaccination, health check included check for hip dysplasia until 12 weeks old. None of the puppies show signs of hip dysplasia. James bought pup on July 8th, 2016 with AKC application and puppy health record. He had 30 days to take pup to see new veterinarian as new puppy health check that included hip dysplasia. We have not hear from James since July. Dam was x ray for OFA Hip and elbows on her 2nd birthday. Sept 19, 2016. Results was normal. Owner of sire do not wish to tested his dog when I asked. I decided not to use this sire again. December 2016, Brandy contacted me about her dog has hip dysplasia. Sounds like pup was x ray within her heat cycle and pup was too young with that combo does affected the result. I showed her OFA site that there are other way that affect hip result such as dog in heat, lack of excerise, etc. She refused to accept the possibly. She stated James dog was spayed right after x ray. OFA recommended X ray dog over 2 years old and 1 month before and after heat cycle. I recommeded James to spay pup after 2nd heat to allow her body to grow. Obvious he didnt followed. Brandy ordered me to stop breeding my dam. I told her Im going to breed my dam to OFA tested approved stud next time. She decided to make matter worse to have her way. Brandy gave suggestive the other puppy owners. I had to tell them to ignored her and block her and talk to Vet. They did. Brandy posting all over site order everyone not to buy pup from me. Brandy telling everyone on site that two male puppies from same litter also had hip dysplasia. It was false as puppies were not x ray by Veterinarians. Brandy claiming she owns the pup and that I was backyard breeder. She trying and hoping that my "business" would shut down if she just post here and other sites. I beginning to think Brandy might be abusing pup as she doesnt like heeler that James said. I have pup out of same littermate. No sign of hip dysplasia. As for backyard breeder, Bumbleburg and other puppy owners came to my home knowing I only has one breeding dam. Puppies were born and raised in house. I show my pup in dog show. Akc record shows I only bred Dam once in her life time and has only one breeding dam. Im hobby breeder who loves heelers! Not for profit. Brandy claimed that I'm backyard breeder. She harassing, stalking on me, lying and trying to prevent people from buying pups from me. This post on rip off is good along with other evidences is enough for slanderous lawsuit against Bumbleburg! As long as Brandy keeps this post here and other sites I can go file lawsuit against her for harassing, stalking online and slander damage! I had to banned Brandy from harassing/stalking/threatening me. She went on to made new fake fb profile under fake name to keep stalking on me today. You see she admitted I tried to hide from her. Yes, I want her to leave me alone. Now that I have had enough. Hello stalking, harassing, threatening, slander is against the law! Thank you for post here and other sites. Now police can see..
