Boston Kitchen Distributors & George Menhitas Refusal to return deposit money

In the fall of 1999, I visited Boston Kitchen Distributors at their 56 Brook Road, Needham, MA Branch Office to get an estimate for cabinetry for an office that was to be built onto my home. Their representative, Les Bernd (who no longer works there) and I met several times to discuss a cost factor for different cabinets and finish. On 10/28/99 and 12/1/99, I signed two agreements for estimates for two sets of cabinets for two different rooms.

A deposit of $1000. was given at each time to insure the 'sales price' if I decided to order from their company. Les told me it was completely refundable and only needed to hold the 'sale' price. I read the contract which states that the deposit was nonrefundable ONLY in the event of special orders and custom charges.

NOTHING was ever ordered, the room in my house is still not done, no measurements were ever taken, figures given to me werte only guesstimates because no measurements could be taken, yet the owner, George Menhitas refuses to return my deposit money.
This company has 3 branches in Massachusetts and is planning to expand more. I need your help to prevent further consumer rip offs by this company.
