B&R Property Management ripoff The rent was raised with unfair reason. Las Vegas Nevada

The rent was raised by $40 dollars in an 11 month period. When I called to find out why, I was told that I was lucky- some tenants recieved increases of $70. I was also told they were only bringing these apartments up to market value, because there are aprtments nearby that are renting for more. I have to say, that all of the apartment buildings nearby are within 5 years old, and much cleaner!

This apartment building has been here for 15 years, anyone who knows Vegas, knows that it is probably one of the oldest apartment buildings in the area. To top it off, my appliances are as old as the apartment, my floors have turned yellow, and my carpet can no longer be shampooed clean.

These are not maintenance issues, they are wear and tear issues that result when you have a 15-20 year old apartment complex and don't replace anything.

I believe that these people have some nerve raising the rent by so much, with nothing at all to show for it. There are no remodels, there are no improvements to the property. I can understand that these things happen- but with a 15 year old apartment complex, in an area with all brand new buildings, there really should be something to show for the increases.
