My Heater needed to be Serviced , so i called Brazos Valley Services after i did a Search fot a company with Heater repair Katy . That was my first mistake .They are not in Katy and the Tech was over an hour late . My husband had to leave work and pick our child as i waited for them to come .

The serviceman was in a hurry and was abrupt and didnt respect my Home, all this stuff fell out out of the attic when he opened it onto my new carpet . He looked at our heater and after only a couple of minutes came out and said .Its got to be replaced , the company made bad furnaces . I asked him who they where and he said they where bankrupt or something .

I told bim my husband would be home soon and i wasnt making that desicison .He said he had to turn off the gas , We called a Katy company for another opinion , they said Yes it was an old furance but it was safe to use after he spent about 45 minutes checking it.They the gas should not have been shut off

Didnt trust the Tech at Brazos Vally Services

We do not take situations like this lightly

The reason this person found us when they did a Google search for furnace repair, Katy Texas was no mistake. Brazos Valley Services' technicians service over 800 homeowners per year in Katy and have been for many years. We have hundreds of positive reviews on the internet including an A rating with Angie's List and 4.5 stars on Google.

Brazos Valley Services' policy in regards to turning of the gas supply to a homeowners’ furnace is very strict and is only done if there is danger of Carbon Monoxide poisoning or fire. We use infrared  inspection cameras with extremely high resolution to do internal inspections of heat exchangers. This inspection gets inside the furnace where many companies' techncians won’t bother to look. When we inspect a furnace we follow the guidelines of the American Gas Association and subscribe to documentation books that contain furnace heat exchanger failures and the history of the manufacturers of furnaces. Should a homeowner choose to get a second opinion after one of our professional technicians (or any other company's technician) has determined their furnace to be unsafe for operation, we suggest they get a signed document stating that the heating contractor take full responsibility for the homeowner’s health and property when they make any repair. Especially if the technician from that company is using a flashlight and mirror to inspect the furnace.

The problem we have with this anonymous review is we have searched all of our service records for a description of anything that would fit the scenario described and we cannot find one record in all of our service calls in Katy where we have turned the gas supply off for a customer's furnace. We searched back to the summer of 2014. Having to turn someone's gas off is rare and we do not take these situations lightly.

We also do not have any records of a customer calling us about a situation like this. If this is a true set of events we urge the homeowner to call us and give us the opportunity to make things right and refund their money. We do have a satisfaction guarantee to protect and homeowner in the event a technician makes a mistake, and if we do make a mistake we are more than happy to correct it because we want our customers to be happy. We encourage feedback, good and bad, and always ask our customers to let us know if something isn't right so we can not only make it right, but so that we can grow as a company. We value our reputation and our customers' opinions, and we know that many of our competitors envy our reputation. Considering that we have no record of this, it really makes us wonder who wrote this report on a website that allows the writers to trash a business anonymously while selling online reputation repair services. We highly urge readers to look at our 95% positive reviews on other online venues.
