Brian Walsh Moving & Storage Company Elderly Couple Moving From New York to Texas ripoff Dishonest lost crushed broken property delivered at additional cost. Lied about guaranteed delivery date Garden City New York

It all begins on 05-15-2006 when Ben & Arthur who are representatives of the Brian Walsh Moving & Storage Company made arrangements to move my elderly uncle & aunt from Hempstead L.I. New York,to Arlington TX.
The couples worldly possessions were picked up an scheduled to be delivered to my address in 2-3weeks. My uncle 80 & aunt 82 packed some of their belongings and the moving company packed their larger things. They were given a verbal price of $2200. they gave the guys $1000.00 deposit and the rest was to be paid COD they get on a train headed for my home in TX.

The property that was scheduled for transport to TX is off to... storage, I guess! Well anyway they arrive in Arlington TX on Wedneday and thats when the waiting really begins.

Now 2 weeks - pass they call the company and talk to Ben who tells them that their things have left New York headed for TX on Monday.
Another weeks goes by they call and are told that they couldn't transport the property they had to spray the things because of infestation of roaches-Yea right! The fourth week now and they call and are told that there property will be here on Thursday. Thursday turns into next saturday which ends up to be June 10th. well you can imagine the stress placed on this old couple as the fate of all they own is in the hands of someone somewhere.

The property finally arrives on Sunday morning. The rude driver demanded the agreed upon $1200. plus an additional $500.00 before he begin to unload their belongings. The boxes are crushed,mirrors shattered,glass cracked. My aunt was heart broken especially at the rude behavior of the driver. Some of her oriental peices never arrived along with my uncles record collection go figure!

The " Order For Service Form" looked like somekind of invoice form. No itemization of the contents, nor contact information. No Insurance information, or complaint information. The phone numbers is not even good, although I did get through one time and the person who answered the phone identified himself as Marvin assured me that the person who handled the move would contact me with the insurance claim infomation before the close of business SURE!

Since then the numbers listed on the Order For Service Form are not taking call at the customers request. One of the numbers is now a residential number. I sent them a certified letter which they have 120 day to respond to.

Old people don't have alot of time to wait and they don't do it very well, they ask me every week if I've heard from the company. The things either destroyed or lost cannot be replaced and I think Its just criminal to do that to people who have worked hard for the things they have. I hope that no one uses this company and they get what they deserve for the deception they imposed on these people. BEWARE! BEWARE!
