Brooks Ruhman Owner, Concrete Floor Designs want stand behind his concrete stain job done on my new sunroom floor Conway Arkansas

Mr. Ruhman was hired by the company who built our sunroom in May of 2008. He is a professional concrete floor stainer. At first the floor looked fine.

As about 4 months passed I started noticing that the floor has lost its shine and just looked really dull in places. Then I started seeing places in the floor that looked as if someone had scrubbed it with an sos pad. What I was seeing was the grey concrete. The stain was disappearing in spots. I called Mr. Ruhman in early February 2009 and he informed me that he would be coming to my house the first week in March because he had a job to do in Little Rock which is close to my home.

He never showed nor called me to set up and appointment. I started calling him at the end of the first week in March. He would not return my calls. I left several messages and my husband left several messages. My husband is in the National Guard fulltime and works with Mr. Ruhman's father-in-law. He spoke with the father-in-law on several occasions about our problem and was assured that Mr. Ruhman would be calling me.

This also never happened. I called a professional concrete stainer from a local company in North Little Rock who looked at the floor. He said the sealer used was obviously the problem. He stated that all the old sealer had to be removed and the proper sealer reapplied. If they were to do the job it would cost me $1900.00.

Mr. Ruhman told me that this floor should last about 10 years. What a joke. It did not even last a year.

Now I am sitting here with a beautiful sunroom and horrible concrete floor that is getting worse everyday. I can see grey concrete in specks over the entire floor. It was stained a dark color called cola.

My problem is I was ripped-off terribly and have no idea of what to do. I can't afford to have the floor redone at this time.

Surely Mr. Ruhman should have a year's guarantee with his work like the other concrete professionals I spoke with.
