I left an item in my returned car and filed a lost and found claim the same day.The manager at that office never bothered to call me after several messages and calls.

I even tried the corporate Customer Service department. They were no help at all. I am convinced my item was snagged by an employee. Budget likes to say they are not responsible for "lost" items, but having thieving employees is not acceptable.

They would do well to review camera footage to find the bad employees and remove them. Any reputable company would have returned my call and done everything they could to resolve my complaint.

They have an "F" rating with Better Business Bureau.Makes sense!

So if you leave your iPhone on the counter at Starbucks, I can just take it right? I mean, you left it?

Let be clear here. I know with 99.99% certaintly that my item was in the car. I called and filed a claim a few hours later. Perhaps they could have looked at the video footage? I gave an exact time the car was returned. Oh, and perhaps take a customer seriously enough to call them back. I have a feeling this sorf of thing happens a lot.

May be bad service but not a rip off

The issue here is that you might have left your belonging in their property. It is your own fault after all. Though, the part of bad employee is your own speculation because you don't really know. Accusation may be true but it is still an accusation until you can prove it.

Yes, they could have tried to find and return your stuff as you said, and that would represent how good their customer service is. However, that is not their obligation, and they are right that they are not responsible for any lost items.

So, your report may be correct on bad service (from your experience). However, it is not a rip off at all.
