This concerning a devistating matter I have recently faced.
I recently vacated the premises of a Condo in Gulfport, MS. This condo unbenounced to me had MAJOR BLACK MOLD ISSUES. After finding it and taking action by contacting the Property Management
(Owner/Company Broker) & Owner of this Condo NOTHING was done. My daughter
and I stayed sick with headaches and nausua daily. Becuase, the Persons/Owners
did nothing! I broke my Lease and moved for the safety of our health. They
they sued us. They are garnishing my wages $225.00 a week. Where is my tenant rights? I spoke to an
attorney concerning this matter but was told because I did not go to the doctor
to be tested that mold was the underlining issue for our ill feelings that I had
NO ground to stand on. This company will not take me down for their lack of this very bad situation. the also have tenants living there Right now. They made it very clear that the owner would not take care of
the BLACK MOLD growing in every elevator shaft and coming through the cracks on
a wall in the living area inwhich they probably simply painted over. What can be done???
At this point I have counted my losses and accepted was has happened. But, I am very pleased I have someone to look at this matter now. This is not Right and NO Company should think it is ok or get away with it!!! I encourage everyone facing this to stand your ground!
