Calypso Cay Resort - Tropical Grand Vacations How I was advised on getting my money returned Orlando Florida

I fell for the same scam as everyone else - same story!
After giving this Company all my information, I then did a google on them! I was so annoyed that I didn't do it whilst on the phone to them. I called my bank straight away, who have had plenty of dealings with this Company surprise surprise! They couldn't stop the payment, but cancelled my card and advised me to send a Registered letter cancelling. The bank treat this company as a Time Share and you legally have a 10 day cooling off period, as long as you do this your Credit Card Company should be able to dispute this payment and launch an investigation and cover your cost. They did take more than was agreed. Calypso Cay did email me back, but said they could not refund untill I received my vouchers and then I had to cancel - if I had waited I would have been over the 10 day cooling off period and your credit card company will not be able to cover your cost as you agreed to the amout taken! (vouchers have never been received!!!) I got a call from my bank today to say that the payment wasn't on my account anymore and the only explanation they could give was that because we cancelled my credit card on the same day as the transaction this might have stopped it being processed It was showing for two days that I know off. They processed the payment but now it is not showing on my cancelled card or my new card - but we will keep an eye on it just incase they try again.

1. send Registered Letters within 10 days
2. Cancel your Credit Card as quick as possible
3. Get Your bank to Dispute the amout taken and to raise an action against them
