During a family crisis we contacted these creatures for a HELOC. After a number of conversations, by phone, we had submitted by fax all the required information. Despite 3 requests for them to fax us a copy of the contract we received nothing, instead they promised to do so to string us along. After they set a closing date, we still received nothing, instead being told we could inspect the contract at closing. At the title insurance agency for closing we were pressured to "just sign" all the papers. Only afterward did we discover that: on a $30,000 HELOC Network Funding took out a $9,000 "funding fee", as well as over $1,000 in other miscellaneous charges. The interest rate is prime plus a 17.5% margin, currently 25.25%!Yes, we were tricked, and stupid, to go along with this, but needed the money at the time. Folks, these people are RIPOFF scum, do NOT do business with these blood suckers!!!

If your payment is late, these guys instantly send you a "Notice of Foreclosure" letter, then add on incredible late fees for each day the bill is late. But look what appeared in the local newspaper:

Case number: CV07-09626

Defendant: Capital Depot LLC, dba Network Funding.
Nature of complaint: Unpaid contract debt.

OK, I contacted these people by phone to inquire if there was any possibility of an
adjustment to a better rate. After being passed around to several departments, I wound up with "Clem", whose main talents seems to be condescending, insulting and arrogance mixed with a cocky defiant attitude. Needless to say, this clown was useless in resolving the matter, more interested in repeating, "Well, give us our money back then..." in a moronic, juvenile manner. This guy couldn't get hired at McDonalds, folks, no wonder he's in with these thieving vermin. No help here, so on we go. Next step, a report to the state Attorney General for predatory loan practices.

During the 3 weeks between appraisal and settlement we asked a number of times questions like "What is the interest rate?", "it'll be determined at settlement" was the reply. "Don't worry, you're approved already."
We asked if there was a pre-payment penalty, reply was "Yes, $500", without mentioning that the entire loan had to be repaid in 5 years for that to apply.
It's now completely clear that we were deliberately denied specific information and given evasive answers to keep us involved in their loan process, and too distracted to seek alternative funding sources.
3 requests for a faxed contract: none delivered. The loss of those 3 weeks time did in fact prevent us from looking elsewhere, and essentially forced us to accept this outrageously greedy deal from them. We're current with this account, and will pre-pay enough each month to have it paid off in 5 years, saving over $68,000 in interest!
Folks, beware the unethical, dishonest and infinitely greedy people at Network Funding, Scottsdale, Arizona!
