We bought 5 cases of meat and got a free freezer in the deal. All the meat is excellent. You have to negotiate with the salesman.

We also purchased a box of crabcakes from them and found them to be excellent. Very little breading and lots og large lumps of crab. We ordered 2 more boxes.

I also checked out the company that Capital Meats Inc. gets the crabcakes from. They have an excellent line of seafood products. All the crabcakes are hand made weekly. Each box also has the date they were made. Ours were less than a month old.

Capital Meats Inc. sells a premium product so of course they are a little more expensive. We like that is portion is individually vacuum packed and that it is flash frozen for freshness. We don't mind the extra cost and as I said, you must negotiate with the salesman. Our salesman even cooked us a dteak on our grill before we bought! Wonderful experience and we hope to be customers for many years.

I have purchased from Capital meats two times now and my wife and I have no compliants. They are much cheaper (in price after negotiating) then Swan foods that support my area.

Their pre cooked shrimp is spot on and their meat cuts suite our taste. We too were sceptical, but that went away after our first filets came off the grill.

If you look around the net, you will find more comments such as mine. I have no hesitation rec'ing them. BUT, you must be aware that you should try to negotiate. The drivers have a "margin" on all sales. The company allows them to start at an ethical higher price and will allow them to only go so low. My second purchase was offered for $350 and I knocked them down to $250. The kid told me that next time the price will be right were it needs to be.

This weekend I will enjoy more of their product on my deck.
