CarCameraDirect, CarCameraDirect.com, Evolution World Wide Never refunded returned items after 1 year. Does not respond to emails. This company is a scam. Miami Florida

Although this company has an US address and telephone number for contact.  It is actually a Hongkong company operating in Hongkong, which itself is not an issue. The problem is, this company is a big scam and it cheats at every step. This kind of scam company should be booted out of the US market.

I ordered from their website www.carcameradirect.com a car camera with claimed features of nightvision+HD+MD for $69+tax, on January 13, 2014. After it arrived, I could immediately tell it is a piece of crap, it is made with cheap plastics and the video quality is so bad it is can only be a toy, let alone high definition as it claimed. You can not tell what license plate the car before you has when recorded in bright day light.

I contacted them through their website and asked for a refund. It was well within their refund period and they agreed. I mailed it back and they acknowledged the reception of the returned item. But after that they never issued a refund.

I tried to use the same channel to communicate with them, the person on the other end replied it had to be processed by their finance department. So I kept sending requests to their finance department, but never got a response. There is a telephone number on their website, it never went through. So now it is March 8, 2015, more than one year later, I still didn't get a dime back. I spent $76 for the camera and then $16 to mail it back, all I achieved was to get rid of that piece of junk.

So never thought all online retailers are of the same honesty. This carcameradirect, and the company behind it,  Evolution Worldwide Limited, with US address of 8345 NW 66th St, Suite 3045, Miami, FL, and Hongkong address of Room B, unit 2202, Windtuck Comercial Center, HongKong, is a scam. Its web site looks as professional and innocent as any other online retailers, but it is actually far from a trusted company, neither from its products nor from the way they handle my return and refunds.
