On August 20th I purchased Jimmy Sweeney's Amazing Cover Letter software as a download.  My credit card was immediately debited and the software appeared to have downloaded properly.  When I tried to run the program all it gave me was a bunch of jibberish.  There was no program.

On the 22nd I sent an e-mail to the support e-mail address of Amazing Cover Letter.  On the 25th I received an e-mail from Jimmy Sweeney.  I thought this was a response to my technical inquiry.  It was an advertisement.  Jimmy was trying to sell me software for job interview success.

Monday, August 31st I phone Mr. Jimmy Sweeney on the 800 number that is given on his website.  Naturally, it was answered by a machine.  The message stated that it's best to send inquiries via e-mail.  I could leave a message but calls are only retrieved on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  I left a message stating my download issue and also said that I had previously sent an e-mail that was not responded to.  I stated I would re-send the e-mail that same day.  I left a message with my home phone number and also re-sent my e-mail.  Almost immediately upon sending the e-mail I received a confirmation e-mail which read,

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting CareerJimmy Support. Please do not reply to this email. This is an automatic response to confirm that we have received your email.

A member of our support staff will reply to your email within 24 hours or sooner, Monday through Saturday.

Sincerely,

CareerJimmy Support"

Well, 24 hours passed.  No word from Jimmy or anyone at Amazing Cover Letters.

By Thursday, September 3rd I still had not received a reply to either of my e-mail messages or to my phone message.

I sent a 3rd, and final, e-mail to support@careerjimmy.com stating that if I didn't hear back by the end of the day I would contest the charges on my American Express card and file a complaint with Ripoff Report.  This e-mail generated the same generic "Thank you for contacting CareerJimmy Support..." reply.

It's now Friday, September 4, 2009 and I'm filing that report.  The charge to my American Express card is being disputed.
