Shortly after moving to NC my elderly mother who I loved dearly and cared for approximatley 10 yrs passed away. Over the years she sacrificed to save some money to leave to her children. While I was still grieving and probably not using good common sense I met Jay & Tracy Rhodes who appeared on the service to be really nice people. Since I was new to the area and hoping to make friends I accepted them as sincere people who were very involved with the church and their community.
I probably trusted them more than I should have but I was still hurting from my recent loss. They seemed to have a successful business located in Concord, N.C. by the name Carolina Oxymagic. This is a Carpet Cleaning Franchise in which you purchase various zip codes from the Oxymagic Development Corp. I told them that my mother left me some money and they offered to split their franchise with me holding 49%. In return I gave them $25,000. We held several meetings and talked about how the money would be spent.
Over weeks and months I became very suspicious because they would not give me the bank statements that I requested and never ordered the products that we spoke about. In fact we were supposed to expand the business to other areas in NC (cost $12,000.). We discovered their request was denied by the Corporation due to continued late franchise fees. All this came to a head about a month ago when we learned they used the money for their own personal use & not for the good of the business or my investment . In fact we discovered over $2,000. charged by Suntrust Bank in just one month due to accessive overdraft fees. "BEWARE" I just learned that they've done this before to someone else. I have already contacted police officials to report Jay & Tracy Rhodes as possible white collar criminals.
Even if I cannot recoup the money I just want to make others aware. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. Don't be taken in by their friendly demeanour. If there is anyone who can help me or if you know them and have had a similar experience of any wrong doing by them please contact me.

I am apologizing to my customers for this inconvience. I do not wish to get into a debate over this issue with Ms. Proscia over the internet, so I just want to remind all consumers there are 2 sides to the story.
