I called this company and told them I wanted the bblegum machines returned that my husband had made a mistake and he had misunderstood the whole thing. They told me that we could not get a refund. They charged us $10,000.00 for these machines I think 30 of them their sales rep. told my husband that he could make $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 dollars a year with these.

They gave him some number to call for reference and these people I suppose worked for them told him about the same thing. Make money up in the thousands. The big thing is that this is way over charged. I told them you can get these machines on e-bay much, much, much cheeper they told me that they are not like ours but they are the very same thing. All I want is to return these. You see my husbands plant is closeing and I think they took advantage of this they should make sure that a person understands everything before they take their money. When it involves thousands of dollars everyone need to make sure everybody understands.

All they would tell me is everything is in the book. And no everything is not in this book. It dosen't tell you that they will not try to reason with you. If you want to go in the vending maching business do not use this company they way overcharge you and will not listen to what you have to say. And they are no refund. $10,000.00 is alot to loose. And they will not even talk to you about it.

Advice on how to be a frugal investor

AUTHOR: Gil - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 27, 2008

One of the biggest reasons as to why many people do not do well in the vending business is because of the failure to understand that this type of industry is not meant for everyone. Knowledge of this type of industry and how it operates is a first step in understanding how well you as a potential investor will succeed. The vending industry is by no means a get-rich-quick-scheme. Manay elements must work harmoniously with each other in order to make your vending business succeed. Please take a look at the following elements of a succeesful vending business:
(1) Understand how the specific type of vending business that you are in operates
(2) Understand the type of person that you are (introvert or extrovert)
(3) How telemarketing locators work
(4) What makes a specific location "good"
(5) Attitude of the vending business owner
(6) How the owner will approach his or her business need
(7) The terms of the contract between the location and the vending owner
(8) Selling merchandise that is applicable to the target market where the machine is located (an adult target market is very different from a children's target market)
(9) Being a "doer" instead of a "couch potato"
(10) Keeping only fresh merchanidse for sale (discard old merchandise)
(11) Maintain buisness papers up-to-date and accurately
(12) Maintain up-to-date legal dosuments (business license, permits, tax forms, etc)
(13) Understand that you should not expect a ship to come in without having a ship go out
(14) "We can't solve problems by using the same thinking that we used to create them" Albert Einstein
(15) Maintain a pragmatic business approach (be practical instead of idealistic)

Organizations like 1800Vending, U-Turn Vending, and Carousel Marketing, Inc. approach their marketing strategy by treating everyone alike. They need to do it this way because they offer the same opportunity to everyone alike - "buy my machines and make money." They do not know who you are as a person. The business transaction is the only important thing for them. Each person accomplishes their own dream differently - no two people are exactly alike.

There is a world of difference between a "front-end" location and a "back-end" location. Front-end are those locations that are readily visible from a distance as we walk within the breeze-way of a smal shopping mall (barber shops, salons, fast food restaurants, auto repair shops, general merchandise outlets, etc.) Back-end are those locations that are not visible from any distance as we drive along the parking lot of an industrial complex ( break rooms in the following: telemarketing companies, fabrication plants, industrial plants, insurance companies, large hospitals, cabling companies, and many more. California's sylicone valley is a good example)

Understanding the behavior of vending customers will help you in uderstnading the difference between front-end and back-end locations. Customers in back-end locations seek ways to relax for a few moments from their unrelenting business transactions. As a consequence, they will go to the beak-room and purchase merchandise in vending machines. They may do this on quite a few times per day. On the opposite side of the spectrum, front-end customers buy as a result of the power of impulse and availability. They may do this very infrequently. Their needs to satisfy hunger is readily available with fast food restaurants and other sources. Vending may be done mostly by children that are accompanied by their parents. These two types of locations will affect the growth potential of your vending business.

Telemarketing locators perform their tasks by aiming at fron-end locations, not back-end locations. I have worked as a telemarketer for the same company, twice. We sat at a computer room and waited for our individual computer to display on the screen the name and address of a potential business client. Each of us was given a pre-written script that was to be used on every client that was called. We used pitch and different speaking strategies in order to "hook" the potential customer. Out immediate concern was to "hook" the customer, not the business potential of the vending owner.

Since the vending industry is not a get-rich-quick-scheme, you must be willing to work hard to make it work the way that you want it to. Sitting back and procrastinating, having temper tantrums, arriving at wrong conclusions, and above all expecting miracles to happen will not get your business on the right track and towards a meanignful destination. On the contrary, this type of attitude will only delay progress and get your business in the wrong direction. We must all learn how to steer our own ship in the direction where we want it to go.

The advice that I am giving youy also applies to many different types of business opportunites that you also see on TV, whether it is real estate or note brokering.
