Cashback America, United States Administrative Services failure to send my rebate money even though I did all that was requested of me according to their rules. Mt. Dora Florida

Count me in as one of the "believers" that I was going to get the full cost of my sewing machine back. I have sent in rebate coupons for smaller amounts ($5 to $25.00) for phones, musical components, light bulbs etc. and have always gotten money back. For a little bit of my time and a couple of trips to the post office to receive the purchase price of a spendy European sewing machine was an exciting prospect for me. I did all required of me according to the rules: original sales receipt, copies of driver's license, proof of address all mailed with in a certain time frame with second set of paperwork mailed off certified mail (at a cost to me both times)

Lo and behold, here I still am waiting for the promised rebate check. The voucher was sent off in 2004, the second part in May of 2007. A phone call to the gravelly voiced woman in October assured me that my paperwork was all in order and I should be receiving the check in the next 2 weeks.

I was ecstatic. My husband had me convinced that I was not going to get that sewing machine for free. I am certainly letting the retailer know they also were scammed. Maybe the Cashback folks and the retailers that participate in these 'rebate for the full purchase price' are in cahoots with one another to entice the public to buy thier products.

I would very much like to see this incredibly dishonest company first pay off all of us who supported our local businesses, purchasing items in good faith, following thier rules (which, by the way were printed in some of the smallest font I have ever seen) put out of business with any future they could restart another scam business squelched forever.
